Great Coffee Maker
I love this coffee maker. 99% of the time, I am the only one drinking coffee here at home, so the single brew option is perfect. I had a Keurig and a Nespresso, but can't handle the taste of the k-kups or the pods, so having a single serve REAL brew option is great. I can still grind and use my own beans, but no washing up a carafe, just the little single side filter. But, I also need the large carafe for company and when our kids come to stay. No more putting the small one away, taking the large one out, etc. This is the best of both worlds and so convenient. The "bold" Button is great too...takes a little longer, but makes a nice bold cup of coffee. The only thing to be aware of, is if you brew the single side into a shorter mug rather than a tall tumbler, you will get a lot of splatter on the counter and coffee pot, but it's easy to wipe away if you do it while it's fresh, so no complaints here.

Love the two choices of brewing!
I reads the reviews on their coffee maker and was doubtful about using a carafe again. Our last 10 years or more we’ve used Cuisinart coffee stations now called Coffee on Demand. We always felt we got our moneys worth out of them and loved it but this last one only lasted 4 months. BY the way, Cusinart does replace them when it goes wrong. In the meantime, we decided to try another brand. The reviews on this one sold me so I ordered it. It’s great! At night when my husband wants coffee, I’ve convinced him to let me do it in the single unit. It’s as good as the brewed pot of coffee!

To the coffee lovers
The media could not be loaded. I needed this two in one coffee maker. I have a keurig coffee maker. I had it for so long. I'm a coffee lover I need a full pot of coffee when I want more than one cup through out the day. And I enjoy just one single cup on the go or just feel like just a cup. My daughter loves ice coffee. So she will make a single cup serving or just pour her a cup from the brewed pot. My coffee gets piking hot on both sides. If you using the single side you need a tall coffee cup or just flip the try cup hold over to stand you cup on to make it sit high when the cup is brewing. No mess I have experienced . You need to fill the basket for the single cup only to the mark showing in the filter basket. Now, the full brew side I use paper filters and I use 1 tablespoon per coffee ground to how many cups ( ounces) of coffee to make. Example; if you going to make 8 cups, fill the glass coffee pot to the 8 mark with bottled or filtered water (no tap water)then pour the water in the reserve water tank. Fill your paper or filter basket with 7 to 8 tsbp of coffee ground . You will not have an overflow of coffee ground. Get to know your product read full instructions. Also, I have set a scheduled to perk coffee using both sides. I awake in the morning smelling fresh brewed coffee .Or, I schedule any time of the day. This machine works very well. If you don't have a good cup of coffee then you didn't follow instructions or you need to switch your coffee brand. I'm just saying!! Also, the green light that comes on when you schedule time for coffee to brew is not as bright like some reviewers say. I had this coffee maker for months before giving a review. I wanted to try the product for a period of time to make a direct review. So, I'm a happy coffee lover!! It took me 3 weeks to decide on what coffee maker to purchase reading reviews. Try for yourself people have their own opinions! Positive or Negative. I just wanted a good quality product to serve my purpose and I'm glad I gave this product a try. And Hamilton Beach is known for since my great great great grandparents ages lol

So far I like this better than my Keurig.
I have been using a Keurig for years, a long time ago I stopped using k cups and bought something to use my own grounds because the coffee was a lot better. This coffee maker allows much more adjustment with the amount of grounds you can use for a single cup. I made my first single cup this morning and it was a big improvement over the Keurig, much less watery. And… it allows you to make a pot if you want. Since I’m the only coffee drinker in my house that will only be used occasionally but it’s an option. If I had anything negative to say so far it would be that this is much slower than a Keurig. Not a big deal though. Oh, no more k cups either!

Would recommend
I was looking for something that did a pot and single serve grounds without using the pods. This thing is super fast, and I am very impressed. For those that were complaining about when using a shorter cup and having splashing, the bottom part opens into 2 pieces and makes a stand to bring the cup up higher so that is a non issue which was a concern of mine originally. Easy to clean, I did buy a wire basket for the pot side and wished it came with it. Set up and usage is super easy to use. The only “complaint” I have is that the auto brew light (green) is craaaaazy bright. Other than that it’s a great machine and would recommend.

Better than Keurig Duo
I had a kuerig duo. The first one broke and we got a free replacement, however I didn't like that I had to make at minimum 8 cups in the carafe. We wanted the option to make 4-6. We don't use the k-cups, they don't come out strong enough. This coffee maker solves both of those problems! My only gripes is you have to press "bold" everytime and you have tonbe care that the pot is completely on the plate or it'll spill everywhere. I recommend it though! P.s.- doesn't include yeti mug, I just put it there for looks lol

Versatile and Convenient Coffee Maker!
I absolutely love my Hamilton Beach 2-Way Coffee Maker! It’s the perfect combination of features for every coffee lover. The 12-cup carafe is perfect for when I’m brewing coffee for guests, and the single-serve option is a great convenience for those mornings when I just need a quick cup. The programmable feature makes it easy to wake up to freshly brewed coffee, and I love the auto-pause and pour feature—no more spills! The coffee comes out hot and delicious every time, and the black design fits nicely into my kitchen. It's super easy to clean, and I really appreciate how quiet it is when brewing. A fantastic machine that I highly recommend for both solo and family use!
