Simple, Fast, Performant, Great Software. Buy now, don't look back.
This is the easiest, best 4 bay NAS money can buy. You will be up and running in _no_ time. Snapping in four drives of whatever size you choose takes moments. I unwrapped four Toshiba N300 Pro 18TB drives and snapped them into the chassis in about 4 minutes. Connected the NAS to my 2.5GB ports on my lan and had everything up and running and updated with the latest software in under 30 mins. Time to get going is important, but what's more important is how does it run over time?I am 9 weeks into owning the thing and I can tell you this: The software is easy. The system is complete... it's robust... it has features I'll never use--and that's cool if you're looking for a gimungous media server or whatever... I needed it for digital camera RAW storage in a RAID5 scenario. I couldn't say more good things about the product.Managing permissions for users on your LAN is easy, managing storage and basic drive management, etc. is easy. Updating the software routinely as patches and security updates are released is easy. Once upon a time Apple owned "easy" and now iOS has 1138 settings in the general tab and nobody can make it do anything--but this NAS is _easy_. And good. High performance reads and writes near theoretical limits... I literally can not say enough good things about it.Buy it and don't look back. Great value, great performance.

Great performance, flexible, and stable
This is my first multi-disk NAS beyond a Raspberri Pi + HDD or a spare laptop running SMB.I'm impressed. The software, though a little cheesy in the package descriptions, is stable and useful. It has the ability to run almost anything in Docker. There are plenty of built-in file sharing protocols. So far, the 8GB of RAM is enough for now and I'm comfortable knowing that can be upgraded. No issues with physically adding and recognizing new disks and managing the array.I'm running a 2.5Gbps home network and this NAS maxes that out bandwidth consistently.I can't quantify is how well it uses the NVME cache. I have a pair of 512GB NVME sticks and it doesn't seem to maximize their capabilities. The disks are a little bit noisy, constantly churning since I'm storing video from one CCTV camera, a little bit of sound insulation in the housing could improve that.

The Second Best NAS I’ve Owned – UGREEN Plus Surpassed My Expectations
i have a spetacualr 4800 plus as main NAS and this for mirror in my office via internet, and I’m thrilled with the UGREEN 4800 NAS! It’s sleek, minimalist, and blends perfectly into my office setup. While it doesn’t support mucho RAM upgrades like the Plus version, it’s been flawless as a mirrored backup unit paired with my primary 4800 Plus. The software is surprisingly robust—Tailscale integration via docker ensures secure, encrypted remote access, and backups run seamlessly without hiccups. I skipped adding SSD cache, but performance is still snappy for everyday file transfers and media streaming. My only hiccup was a corrupted sync app in my main 4800 plus NAS after a power outage (always use a UPS!), but UGREEN’s support team is already fixing it. If you need a reliable, no-fuss NAS for backups or light office use, this is it. Synology can’t compete with this value, they are obsolete— this is highly recommended!

A NAS devices that just works!
I've had multiple NAS devices over the years and this is the best so far. It's always available when I need it, has the storage space I want, and allows for SSD cache. It has many other features that I haven't tried yet, but I probably will since the device is working so well.

Regardless of quality, Chinese EULA is BAD
I cant believe that no review videos, redditors, or reviews have said ANYTHING about the terms that you are forced to sign to use this hardware from China. This is not being zenophobic, but really read the License agreement and terms that you have to sign when getting this. (Not verbatim but from memory)"You may not use this product for business purposes without the express written agreement from Ugreen.""You may not use this product in any way that does not conform to the Constitution of the People's Republic of China.""You may not store or transmitted anything on this or out services that we deem a subversive to the PRC."And it GOES ON AND ON AND ON.At the very end, it states that they don't have access to or read any of your data. I doubt that that is true. And even if it is, you are signing away many more rights than you realize BECAUSE NOBODY READS WHAT THEY ARE SIGNING!You could wipe it and install something else, but that does nothing for the hardware aspect of it.Only a fool would agree to any of this.

Nice NAS! Replaces older other manufacturer.
Still getting into. Network software showed it had some vulnerabilities but have not dug into them far yet. I let firewall take care of it. Easy to setup. Seems to work great. I added feet to the bottom to help with heat dissipation.
