I’m so glad I found these.
Worked perfectly. Time saver and I was able to replace all of my alarms with the updated version with confidence. I was a little worried about redoing the wires myself since the shape of the plug had changed on the new alarms. Worth the few extra dollars. I did need to carefully stuff the wires in a few of the boxes, not much extra room up there, but easily worked around.

Time Saver
I bought this when I replaced the smoke detectors in my house... beat having to use the older style splice and connect wiring method.. . A plug and use device.. whole task done in 5 minute.

Does exactly what it should, great drop-in for upgrading older Smoke Detectors.
My house is starting to get to the age where I need to replace all of my smoke detectors, and they are all wired together, but use a connector that the new Smoke Detectors don't use. This adaptor works perfectly and is small enough to tuck into the existing mounting in the house. I'll be picking up more of these when I replace the smoke detectors next year.

Makes the switch easy!
I had to unexpectedly replace my prior Kidde alarm. While it wasn’t very old, it did have a different plug. This adapter made the install very easy. I recommend for a quick change out from the old to new Kidde.
