One of my favourite chocolate
I was given a Goldkenn Goldbar at New Years and I just had to buy more when I ran out; something I never do as I usually wait to be given some for one occasion or another. The chocolate itself is top quality, not too sweet or fatty, it just melts on the tongue. In the centre there is a gorgeous crunchy almond layer and the taste of praline is simply divine. It is also very conveniently wrapped individually so it doesn't go off quickly once the goldbar is open. Love it!

These are nothing like they used to be.
Hard on the outside instead of soft all the way through. They used to melt on your tongue but these are more like hard fudge or soft toffee. The only thing that's the same is the box. Also, it's stupidly expensive compared to what it used to be. Serious disappointment and waste of money

Amazing yet conspicuously overpriced in my view.
The packaging of the golden ingot box is very impressive making it eminently giftable. Open the box to find thirty foil-wrapped prime confections. Between two layers of finest Swiss milk chocolate is the wonderous praline with small, crunchy pieces of nuts. They are morish and go only too well with cappuccinos. So virtually perfect both stylistically and in chocolate quality. The only downside is the price. I just feel it is pitched a little too high for what it is. However, overall still recommended as it really delivers a special experience.
