Having read through a few reviews, I wondered what I was going to receive.Well, as noted elsewhere, there is nothing on assembling the parts, which is honestly not difficult.The only annoying part was removing the protective covering from the plastic. It was date stamped 2023, so the adhesive was maybe a bit more of a problem than it should have been. It was not easy to get a corner to let go, but once it did, it just peeled off with no problem.There are a few complaints about the tiny adjustment screws. Well, this really is not intended as a variable bench power supply, even though some people are apparently trying to use it as such. In a set it and forget it use, it works just fine. The other complaint was that the (output) voltage reading is incorrect -- well, within 0.1V it agreed with my Fluke meter. No problem at all.What I wanted it for was to use a lithium ion battery with a portable radio (Elecraft KX3). 12V Lithium ion batteries are constructed with either three or four cells. With four cells the voltage varies between 12 and 16V. 16V is too high. With 3 cells it varies between 9 and 12V. 9V is too low.So I set this at 14V and max of 4A (actual max is nearer 1.5) and tried varying the input from 9V to 16V.Output was perfectly stable at 14V with the radio operating perfectly as it switched form Buck to Boost.Honestly, I was surprised at how well it works.

I have a sprinter van that has been converted to a camper. It's powered by a battery pack which works well, except that my LED lights would flicker and you could hear the exhaust fan slow when the diesel heater would kick on. The load was well within the battery pack's capacity, but I could see the output voltage drop when the the heater cycled on (I assume the glow plug).I used this Boost Buck converter to stabilize the lighting and fan circuits (one each) and now have no problem.It seems well made, has many more features than I need (adjustable, display, etc), is reasonably priced, and solved the problem!

Nice unit it provides a wide voltage range of output. Easy to set up an use. Nice touch with the adjustment buttons and plexiglass shields. What could use improvement, would be nice to have paper instruction or a link to instructions, the voltage display, it is a bit off when measured by 2 calibrated DVM's but it is in the right range. The other area for improvement is the ripple/switching noise is high at 500mv pk-pk for my application at 1.5vdc. Depending on your application this may be acceptable. I didn't check if this is consistent through the output voltage range. I plan on putting some type of filtering on the output to bring it down. Other items, great size, lots of functionality for the price point.

From my experiences with the device, it works great! I can't seem to get it beyond 11.22 Amps (rated for 12) but I suppose that's reasonable. It is a bit annoying to dial-in the voltage and current values since they are very sensitive, but after all is said and done it "just works".

This power converter was the perfect solution to the fluctuating electrical power supply coming from my solar panels on the roof of my 2015 Ford transit 250 van to the Max fan that I mounted on the roof. It came unassembled and was easy to put together. And it’s small enough to tuck away in a small opening in the vans sheet metal and looks really good too with the protective plastic pieces that go on the top and bottom of the assembly. I’m relieved to have this safety feature in my wiring to the fan motor so I don’t have to worry about changing it anytime soon.. I highly recommend installing one in the power supply line for your electronics

Seen these suggested for a long time and never paid much attention. Need a power supply for a weird 15v board so grabbed this because it was cheap, and honestly it's one of the best purchases I've made unexpectedly. The quality is top notch. The output is spot on and very stable. The heat is rather reasonable for the conditions in which I use it now. Tiny, flexible, easy to use. I use this now for everything from charging individual cells in unbalanced battery packs to powering prototype boards to just being a power supply for random led strips I want to run at my desk that night. First purchase from DROK and now that I've gone through more of their lineup, I'm hooked. Great job guys.

Junk.Don't buy.Powered side was 24VDC @ 2A.Load side was set for 19VDA @1A.Appeared to be working fine continuous for 12 hours.Unit was only mildly warm (not hot at all) after several hours.After ~ 12hr then, output side went to 0 volts.Would return for a refund but sadly the return period had expired 5 days ago.

I purchased one of these for a project recently. It worked so well that I purchased another one in order to expand my project.
