This is something that my birds just love to shred! I used to buy these at different bird sites online, but the price on Amazon is great and I can buy in bulk! We have four parrots and all but one, our 45-year-old yellow Amazon, love to shred these. I'm hoping our senior lady will try them too!I have looked this material up online and it is natural and grows in warm climates. I would love to grow it myself! The birds can go through a lot of these in a short amount of time, but when they have to be in their cages or Home Alone in the birdroom, it gives them something they love to tear up!

My Moluccan cockatoo is an obsessive feather shredder/self mutilator. These toys kept her busy. One toy lasted about 2 days, but it was worth it to have her otherwise occupied. She loves these toys!

My African grey is a sometimes-feather-picker. She attacks these yucca kabobs with gusto, ignoring all her other toys. Shredding the yucca seems to satisfy whatever urge makes her pick - there’s been no picking since we’ve found this toy. I have three budgies. Two of them aren't big shredders and they barely touch the kabob. The third goes crazy over this toy. She absolutely loves it. She goes through spurts. Sometimes she'll shred a kabob in a week. Other times the kabob will decorate her cage for a month before she attacks it. Either way she loves it. It's her favorite toy.
