Beautiful and Great Quality
These knives are absolutely beautiful. The knife block is gorgeous! The blades are not gold, which would have made the set even more beautiful. It looks great sitting on my counter top. The quality of the knives are great! Mine did not need to be sharpened before using them. They cut through meat, veggies, and fruit with ease. They are not flimsy knives, but sturdy and well constructed. I am well pleased with the beauty and good quality of my knife set. I highly recommend!

Very pretty with slim holder to minimize counter space
Beautiful and sharp. As with all good knives, must hand wash to preserve the riveted handles and metals from hot bleach detergent in dishwasher.

Meh. Nice Price, Look Good - But know this…
I love how these knives look, I am trusting the Farberware name, so I bought them. I really did not want the steak knives or the block, but they all seem to come with both these days. Having said that, there is one serious knock on these knives: the all-important bread knife is NOT sharp, nor is it full sized. So, I am keeping my old one in a nearby drawer. There is no way the serrated knife in this set (third from the right in the picture) can accommodate a rustic, round loaf of crusty artisan bread. It’ll do up your tomatoes, I suspect, but is not a good bread knife size or sharpness. The chef’s knife, the carving knife, cleaver, boning knife and paring knife all seem good. The handles are solid, they are a nice weight, they’re balanced, and the blade steel is heavy enough. They all are very sharp - go figure.I have not used the steak knives, so no report on them other than they are pretty. And seem very sharp. They’ll dress up your table nicely.Overall, IF you have a good bread knife, I’d recommend buying these. It’s a nice price, excepting the bread knife.

Started Rusting After First Use — Disappointing Quality
Unfortunately, the only good thing about this knife set is the look. If you’re looking to keep them as decorations in your kitchen, then go for it. But if you want to actually use them, I’d look elsewhere.I purchased this set about five months ago and after the first use I noticed small rust spots forming on the blades. I hand wash these knives and dry them after so there’s no excuse for this kind of corrosion.I hoped it was only going to happen that one time but now all of them are progressively getting worse. For a product that’s supposed to be made of quality stainless steel, this is completely unacceptable. I expected durability and performance, but instead I got knifes that look like they’ve been neglected — even though I’ve taken great care of them.If you’re looking for a long-lasting, reliable set of kitchen knives, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. These are not worth the money.

Rusted :(
We love the white and gold as it is very pretty and aesthetic. Unfortunately this set started rusting within a week of having it and following care instructions perfectly. I guess it’s worth the price??
