Seriously fast!
I’m an apprentice plumber and have to make a lot of holes through framing to run dwv pipe and water lines. These diablo spade bits are by far the best I’ve ever used. The self feed end does all the work for me and it eats through studs like nothing. These spade bits are Project Farm verified and they absolutely hold up. Keep in mind, these aren’t made to handle going through nails. The nails will totally destroy the twist end and make the bit go much slower. I recommend using the regular diablo spade bits for wood that may have nails.

Accidentally hit nails with these, and it still chews up wood pretty well.
I had no idea I was even hitting a nail when I took the 1" bit into a 2x4. It did some damage to the bit, but it still works great, so no complaints at all.
