You just screw it to the wall and hang your fire extinguisher from it, But, make sure your extinguisher can use this type of hanger. There are several. If at the neck you have a hole extending out you are ok. Go to a store and look at other extinguishers for ideas.

Hello Veronica E., I'm not the person you bought these from because I always put screws in with the order but I will try to help you. If your wall is made of sheetrock you need to locate a wooden stud and use a screw about 1 1/2 inches long to install your wall hook. Not much to say about this product. It's a metal bracket to mount a fire extinguisher and works as intended. The products we received were free of defects and appear to have been manufactured well. All were painted - no chipping or other issues noticed. The brackets were easy to install and hold a fire extinguisher properly on a wall.
