This is the one!
This is the one! I've been trying to simplify my makeup routine for the foundation portion to include just moisturizer plus a tinted sunscreen, and this finally completes my search. What I was looking for: 100% mineral sunscreen, sinks into your skin, moderate color coverage, obviously non irritating, not too glowy or shimmery, matches my skintone.Ones I have tried: Paula's choice tinted moisturizers (there's two) which both aren't a perfect match for my skintone; DRMTLGY - honestly shocked by the complete lack of tint once on compared to the photos in their ads, also too shiny and thin on my nose; PUR - not a good color match (tried two) and ends up getting kind of patchy as the day goes on; BLISS - almost perfect, but the lavender scent was too much, and I think I did start to break out from it/get itchy. For reference, I'm fair but not very fair, have some redness and acne scars to cover, my Clinique foundation color is Linen. This one is amazing! It meets all my requirements, offers a medium coverage with a natural finish. Not quite matte, but no shimmer or shine. It has an intriguing texture out of the tube - you think it's going to be thick like putty, but it's actually more whipped and melts into your skin. The color match is perfect for me, and it blends in easily. It lasted all day, and I didn't have any problem washing it off at night. After years of being an oily skin complexion, in my early 40s now I have a normal complexion, so I think applying moisturizer prior to this helps with the color match and blendability.Bonus, the price is amazing. Definitely give this a try and definitely apply moisturizer first - I think you get the best results with that. Oh I forgot to say that this actually does give a little hint of that "lit from within" look that you get with actual foundations, which is pretty incredible for a tinted moisturizer. The other ones definitely didn't do that.

The BEST tinted sunscreen for oily skin
When I say I have a love-hate relationship with sunscreens, I mean it. As someone with oily skin and a strong aversion to any trace of shine on my face, I use sunscreen only because it's mandatory for skin health. I've tried several tinted sunscreens, from budget-friendly to high-end options, in search of the perfect product for my skin: one with light to medium coverage and a matte finish that would last over 40 minutes. I had given up on tinted sunscreens and was using Bliss Clarifying Block Star (amazing mineral sunscreen with little to no whitecast) until I got curious and decided to ask ChatGPT for a good tinted one for my skin type. I'm not joking; ChatGPT recommended the Australian Gold SPF50 to me, and I bought it.Funny, right? I spent the last few days thinking I'd be once again disappointed, and it would be my fault for taking up the word of AI. Today, as soon as I received the package, I opened it up and applied the sunscreen. O-M-G. The shade is perfect, the texture is perfect, the coverage is perfect, the finish is perfect. Eight hours later, there's not a trace of oil on my face, no extra shine. It didn't sting my eyes or make my face itch. It didn't look cakey or creased in any areas (around the eyes, smile lines, 11s). It is just... perfection. If you have oily skin and large pores and hate the way most tinted sunscreens sit on your face, don't give up. Give this one a go. I am positive you'll love it.

Love it!
Genuinely the best tinted sunscreen ever!My only complaint is the shade! I am very fair-skinned; the shade "for fair to light skin tones" is still just too dark and orange. Like, really, it's oompa loompa orange. Somehow it manages to blend out well and not look too crazy, but if I don't blend the neckline and hairline then it is definitely noticeable. If you have fair skin, you should still try this product, but blend blend blend. The finish is great. For a sunscreen it really is matte! It could even be a little drying, if you don't moisturize well before putting the sunscreen on.I have oily skin and this stays on my face ALL DAY. My oil does come through after some hours but that's just the life of having oily skin. The product still looks great on the face. I tested this out at the pool-- didn't get fully submerged but got splashed in the face a few times and my face looked the same.

Nearly perfect tinted sunscreen
This is a great product for people with light warm skin tone. I don’t think it would work for fair skin, as it borders on being a touch too dark for me, but it’s fine with a very light powder over the top to lighten it up a touch (see attached pics). I have incredibly oily skin and I found this to be neither dewy nor drying. It was a nice in between with a more natural satin finish. (and it is the perfect texture once I add a touch of setting powder). Although it is matte, it isn’t drying at all. If you have dry skin, I would definitely add a moisturizer underneath. It did take a few minutes to fully dry down. I’ve not tried this under liquid foundation, so I’m not sure how it would do underneath. I do wear a translucent setting powder over it, which sets it perfectly. It provides just a touch of coverage - a “your skin but better” look and It stays put even after mild sweating.I have tried numerous (at least 20) other tinted sunscreens and BB creams w/ spf over the past few years (including several viral ones) but this has been my fave. I also have moderate acne. I’ve only been using this about a week, but so far it hasn’t triggered any breakouts I’ll update this review if it does. I have attached a few pictures wearing the Austrian Gold Matte in the light shade. . I think it is obvious in the pics that my face is a touch darker than my neck, but it’s always like that unless I use a shade that is really too pale for me.
