Great accessory for trash and recycling!
These self-closing shelves are fantastic. Installed one in my sister-in-law's house over ten years ago and one in ours three years ago. Very simple to install and both are still functioning perfectly!

Easy to Install and Works Great!
The media could not be loaded. This was a small, fun project for me. For those that really want the larger 50-quart sized Pull Out Trash Can but don't quite have the dimensions, read on.I really wanted the 50-quart sized bins (x2 for trash and recyclables), but my cabinets were not big enough. However, upon measuring I realized if I used the lower door and upper drawer in the same cabinet, I could make it work. This did require some work.I ended up removing my lower cabinet door and the upper drawer, separating the upper drawer face from the drawer. Using a multitool, I cut the divider in the cabinet to make a single larger opening for the new pull out trash can. I had to remove some other shelving inside the cabinet too and paint areas that were cut/removed. For the door, I reused the lower cabinet door and the upper drawer door mounting them on a 1/2" board that was cut to match the new opening. I also sanded and painted the new backplate taking care to pick screws that did not go too far into the original door faces.Using the new door, I just followed the instructions to mount the Rev-A-Shelf base to the inside of the cabinet and mount the door to the base. It's built to allow small adjustments for the door (tilt forward/back and left/right) before tightening the screws. My only gripe is that some of the screw numbering in the instructions could be better, but you can figure it out.All-in-all, it turned out great. If you want to take my route, I would just make sure to take good measurements before you start cutting up your cabinets, but it is 100% doable.

good buy
So far so good! I installed this myself while my husband was out of town and it was simple! So far it is great. Only concern is the weight when pulling it out may or may not cause issues in the long run.

High quality, but needs a bit more info.
30 minute install time is not accurate unless everything goes without problems! New bins are taller than Rubbermaid ones in old one. Do not fit heightwise in our cabinet. So, using old one. Installation instructions are not clear about how far back from front edge should be used.

PERFECT!!
I am eighty years old and have been a manufacturing engineer for 50 years. This cage was well-designed, solidly manufactured, and efficiently packaged. I cannot say enough good things about this company. Installation was easy, with templates and clear instructions. If I need their products in the future, I will order them without hesitation.

Strurdy and easy to install
Smooth movement and suprisingly sturdy. The stated width is for the cabinet opening not the frame width so make sure it fits the intended application. All else is simple, installed in minutes but aligning the door does take some patience.

Arggghhh!!! Install is not easy, but it is nice.
What's not easy? Getting the door on 'perfectly' straight. Followed their measurements and math to a "T" with my partner independently doing the measurements and math herself. We came up with the same numbers for drilling the holes in the door, yet we were off. We drilled a second set of holes, based on measuring how far off the first set was. We got it pretty close, but the door is slightly rotated (maybe 2-3 degrees). Is it that noticeable? No. But, I can't help but see it, because I KNOW it's there. Arrgghh!!Okay, putting that aside, I love this thing. I love how easy it pulls out and soft closes itself, as soon as I let go of the pull. Both cans sit nicely together, without moving or rattling around. We have a lid on the outer can, which we use for garbage, and no lid on the inner can, which we use for recycling, as we would not be able to open the lid, with our countertop's small overhang. If you have any counter overhang, a second lid will only get on your nerves, so don't bother. One improvement I would like to see. I would prefer it stay open, until I gave it a little push. A handful of garbage, letting go of the cabinet pull to open the lid, and you got to be quick to dump the garbage and drop the lid, before it closes on you. It is a soft close, so it's not crazy, nor will it break anything nor make a mess. I would just find it more convenient if it waited for me to close it, then I could get more things in, without have to put me knee up against it to hold it open. Ah yes, first world problems, I know. ;-)
