This incredibly compact DVD unit is not only very affordable, it functions very well tooThe tv you see in the picture is only a 28 inch model The DVD player is approx 9 inches across. It is the perfect size for this tv!We aren’t majorly into tv or dvd viewing. We had a “nice” dvd player that pretty much filled the bottom of this tv. (This DVD player is less than 1/2 the size of the one we had.)My cousin transferred some family films onto DVDs and sent them to me. When I went to view one of them, I discovered our old DVD player no longer worked. I was already concerned that it might not play “homemade” DVDs, but it had apparently retired from playing any DVDs at allI wanted to see the DVDs my cousin had sent, but I didn’t want to spend the kind of money we had spent on our last DVD player (when it was purchased, a member of our household was a movie aficionado so he chose a very nice, expensive DVD player)I was astonished at how low of a price a DVD player is selling for (and a bit nervous about “getting what I paid for”)I need not have been concerned. This is a wonderful little machine. It came with both HDMI cables and RCA cables in the box. It took just a few moments to connect the HDMI cable to the tv and the dvd player. Once the dvd player was plugged in we were good to goThe sound and picture quality are outstanding on even “homemade” DVDs. The functions on the remote are clear and very easy to understand. It even comes with a free three year warranty that you scan the included QR code with your smartphone camera to activate! (I am quite impressed by this!)I am exceptionally pleased with this purchase. It was very affordable and a quality device!

Great price and easy to set up and use. The remote works well and is simple and uncomplicated. The player works great and my DVDs sound good and look clear. The low profile design makes the player fit under the feet of my TV.

One star removed because I had to return the first one--it would skip (even when playing brand new CD's). The replacement unit is working fine thus far (This one is used as CD player only using just the red/white RCA audio jacks). The remote control is nice because you can skip directly to any track using the numbered keypad.I also bought a second unit (to replace an older Phillips HDMI DVD player that was beginning to fail). This second unit is connected via HDMI and so far is functioning perfectly playing DVD's.Overall, I'd say that this player is a good value for the money as of now. Longer term I hope the reliability proves to be good.

This company has the BEST customer service that I have ever experienced!!! This little DVD player is easy to use and we love it!! However, it stopped working. I contacted the company because it comes with a 3 year warranty. My request was handled in a very friendly manner and received a new machine after simply submitting a proof of purchase with my Amazon receipt! No hassles and just excellent customer service!!! I highly recommend this product to anyone.

This DVD player was easy to set up and easy to use. Picture quality is good. I have a number of foreign TV sets and in the past have had difficulty getting DVD players to properly function with them. This player worked fine right out of the box with very little setup on all of my TV sets. Price was very reasonable.

This is my second Electcom dvd player and I may buy a third. They are excellent multi region players and my first one is now about three years old ,and has not had a single problem. I have played dvd's from European countries on it in addition to dvd's that are made for the U.S. which is region number one. The picture is clear and the sound excellent. The remote functions as it should. I like the fact that it has RCA hookups in addition to an HDMI port. I recently had a $160 brand name unit crap out on me after less than a year's use, so I replaced it with an Electcom. The first one I purchased is being used by my mother, who at 87 years old is able to operate it without difficulty. They contacted me after my purchase just to make sure that I was satisfied, and when I had an issue with registering the second unit they helped me get it done without a hassle. When I find a good product at a reasonable price like their dvd player and get excellent customer service as well, I give them the review they deserve. The one year warranty is extended to three years if you register it and electronic products seldom comes with that length of a warranty. I'd like to see them come out with a Blue Ray player that performs as well as the dvd player does. They are a small business and I do support small businesses in general ,but especially when the experience is as good as it has been with Electcom! I don't think you can go wrong with an Electcom dvd player.

Player works great no complaints there but the remote not so much. The remote for this small simple dvd player is BIG and awkward to grip especially when trying to use the only few buttons that matter out of dozens of other buttons. The volume buttons are opposite of every other remote I have or have ever had. The rewind and fast forward buttons are so tiny and right in the middle of a cluster of buttons which I don't know what most of them do which is odd because I am pushing them every time I try to do anything but thats because it just says it's an invalid selection which is what it says for half the buttons on there.So it can be very annoying using the remote could have simplified it for sure
