Actually Works for Dark Spots and Uneven Skin Tone
I’ve been using the Pure Kojic Acid Soap consistently for about two months now, and I’m genuinely impressed. I bought it to help with some stubborn dark spots and post-acne marks, and it’s already making a noticeable difference. My skin tone looks more even. The soap lathers well and has a light, clean scent. It doesn’t feel harsh, but I do recommend starting slowly maybe every other day especially if you have sensitive skin. I follow up with a good moisturizer and SPF during the day since kojic acid can make your skin more sensitive to the sun.If you’re looking for a simple, affordable solution for hyperpigmentation or dull skin, this is a great option. Just be consistent and patient the results are worth it!

Working: Thank You Marie France!
Light skinned sista with sensitive skin using this soap to resolve very very dark and stubborn self-diagnosed upper lip melasma. Still on the first bar, and seeing AMAZING results. I began seeing small but noticeable results the first couple of weeks. Results are faster, now with more frequent use. Melasma is breaking up big time!!!. Here's what worked for me:1. First 3 weeks: Use every 4 days: 20 seconds (face), 60 seconds (body)2. 2 weeks: Use every 3 days3. 2 weeks: every 2 days*4: 2 weeks: every 2 days: increase time on face/body 30 sec./90 sec.5. 2 weeks: increase time on skin.* step currently onAdverse effects:Mild contact dermatitis (bumps). Applied anti-itch cream (2-3x/day). Bumps quickly resolved withoutleaving marks. No bumps after week 1 on current routine (*)Initially, skin itches a bit during initial and increased usage. Applying more moisturizer helps throughout the day helps. The itchiness dissipates over time.I have sensitive skin, thus, I did not use the soap as per manufacturer's instruction for initial use. I have to be VERY cautious when using new skin products. Because I did not want to have a bad breakout or irritation that I would have to try to correct- which we know takes weeks! Therefore, I used a very conservative regimen to observe how my skin reacted. I think that's why my contact dermatitis was very mild.I am also using Hadalabo Milk and The Ordinary's Niacinamide and Alpha Arbutin and Puress's Tranexamic Acid serums on my face. These combined were giving me slow but noticable results. Sunscreen as well! (Supergoop). I receive lots of compliments on my skin. But the melasma was just, UGH! Then I discovered this soap. The results thus far, are amazing. Will continue using on face and body for consistency.Thank You!!

I get tanned easily. I do not mind the tan
Background: I have a deep olive skin, and I am a pro at staying in the sun during summer days. Bike rides, swimming, running, etc. I get tanned easily. I do not mind the tan, but my upper legs, stomach, and chest area areas about 5 shades lighter than the rest of my body. Anyways, I wanted to even out my skin tone and I started using this product about 3 weeks ago. After reading reviews, I cut the soap in 4 pieces and I am today about to finish my first piece! I kept the other 3 pieces somewhere, and the current 1 piece I am using in a zip bag outside the shower. It melts very fast if overexposed to water.Use: First day I used it 20 seconds in the shower after my regular shower routine (with usual mild soap). I lather and apply the soap all over my body and felt a little tingling on my face around the 15 seconds mark and washed then. Second day I went to 30 seconds. The third I was on 60 seconds. After the first week, I started leaving it on for 3-6 minutes in the shower. I feel the tingling on my face but not the rest of my body. I use it about 5 times a week, once a day, when in the shower. I use a natural exfoliant before using the soap about 2 times a week. Something like sugar and honey, or white rice power, or oatmeal. I feel it makes my skin smoother. I use oils or regular moisturizer after the shower depending on what I feel like. I do not feel the need for heavy moisturizing everyday, probably just my skin tolerance. Results: After the 3rd day, I started noticing that my legs, knee down, had lots of white peels. Like dry skin peels when I walked out of the shower and dried myself. Those are not noticeable after moisturizing though. My legs from the knee down were the first areas to go lighter. The "micro-peel" is hard to notice, but currently (3 weeks in), I have thousands of tiny light spots, very very tiny, everywhere. It increases day by day and I imagine, at the end, all of the areas will be that color. Except for my legs (knee below), I did not see any peels, but mostly, those light spots (about 2-3 shades lighter) all over my body. You have to look close to notice though.Verdict: All in all, it works, but the effect is barely noticeable if one does not keep track or take comparison pics. I am able to tell I am getting the results as I have my chest area to compare to. Not all areas peel with skin that comes out like my legs do, so it may seem as if nothing is happening. Using a natural exfoliant about 2 times a week is helpful for me, first in general for smooth skin and probably that might help the exfoliating process of the soap itself.Side effects: Yes, the first week and a half, I broke out a little. Regular places where I get pimples from time to time, arose. I stuck with it, and today, nothing on my face, but smooth skin.Good luck. I will be using this soap until my skin evens out, and I will mostly use it as a maintenance later on. I am unsure if it actually whitens, seems for me, mostly just getting your "true" skin color out. I don't know, other reviewers might have insights on that. Or I can update if I get lighter over time :)
