Analogies for Critical Thinking, Grades 1–2 from Teacher Created Resources

This book was a big hit with my 6 year old granddaughter; as a matter of fact, she has already requested the next book in the series. Print size is great, and the format is easily accessible to a child this age to work independently. I am going to order subsequent books from this company.

I really like that this workbook challenges my daughter to concentrate and figure stuff out. I'm happy we chose to supplement our homeschooling with this book.

As a retired educator and a part-time Reading Teacher for test prep, I found this a good supplement to my teaching materials.

Good book for helping young children with critical thinking skills.

I find myself back to buy this book for my second homeschool student, only because the market for analogy books is exceedingly thin, not because it's a great title. I would agree with some of the other reviews that mention how many of the analogies are rather odd or illogical. Funny enough I remember this being the case when I was a kid too! Nothing has changed. This product is what one might expect if the government was in the book publishing business (outside of pork laden laws that is). But in the end of the day it suffices for lack of alternatives. Just make sure you're proactive in guiding your student through it.

Awesome to have your kid learn to solve problems.
