This is an OEM product. Lesson learned. Last year I bought a NON OEM element from Amazon and it broke in less than a year. I've just installed my latest element and tested it. I didn't need to make any oven calibration adjustments. So, at this time, the OEM product is accurate and I expect it to last longer than the cheap NON OEM element I bought before.

The element on my oven stopped working while I was baking for Christmas dinner. I needed a replacement quickly. After reading several articles on the internet, I decided to try to fix it myself without a service tech & a service call charge. The manufacturer quoted $88 + S&H and a local parts store quoted $66 + S&H. When I found the same item on Amazon for less than $45 w/ free shipping, I decided to give it a try. The part arrived after about 1 week and was exactly what I needed. No instructions included...had to rely on the how-tos that I found on the internet, but it was a fairly easy fix. Removing the oven door was very helpful, but was heavy and not very easy to lift high enough to clear the hinges, since I am short, but I managed. Unplugging the old element was the most difficult part. The connections hadn't moved in almost 15 years and were stuck tight. Didn't know what,if any, solvent would be safe, so just relied on "wiggle & pull" method (very scientific). This eventually worked and the rest of the job was a breeze. Oven is working properly and I suppose I saved a couple of hundred dollars by avoiding a service call.

The heating element itself works fine however it arrived late which cost me an extra $200. I don’t know who’s fault it was but it made me extremely angry. I would not trust purchasing again if it is time sensitive

Replacement for GE wall oven JTP15W0a2WW/JTP15A2WW bake element. Easy to install and my calibration check had oven maintaining same temperature set points as before. Saw same element(?) cheaper but decided to pay the extra for supposed OEM. Either way cheaper than a new replacement oven which costs $1500 - $2000 more than a bake element. Received as described when promised (less than a week). I am happy.

Wife began yelling about a fire in the oven, that I thought was burning food and expected a simple extinguishing. Turns out the 14 year old oven heating element was sparking and burning! Turning off the power at the stove didn't stop it, and the fire extinguisher didn't stop it. Either turning off the breaker or cutting off the burning end with wire cutters finally did it.In any case, it was a simple matter of ordering this part, removing the old unit (couple of screws) and installing the new one. I did have to shape it just a bit to make if flat, but it works great.
