This is the second one I've purchased because it's that good! I have never worn a life preserver while wade fishing the surf. But I am 54 now and feeling it. I wanted something that would make me feel more safe and be out of the way. This seems to fit the criteria.

It works the way it's supposed to. I'm giving it four stars instead of five only because it tells you you have to test these and of course it only gives you one CO2 cartridge and the green thing which snaps when you pull. That pretty much makes you buy another kit which is $20 if you buy it from the manufacturer. You can use normal CO2 16g cartridges and buy an off brand green tabs and save some money. But it does work how it's intended to

This was purchased to try and find something more comfortable and that I would actually wear. I have several full size over the shoulder PFD‘s. But they are no fun in the Florida sun. This is a very nice around the waste PFD. I have no problem paddling with this and it’s light enough that it never feels like it’s bulky and in the way while I paddle board. I have gotten it wet plenty of times and it is very easy to unfold and re-fold once dry. The directions to re-fold are imprinted right inside of the package. The manual inflation “straw” is a nice feature should the cartridge fail to inflate for some reason.
