Honestly? Just buy it. Thank me later.
This is the book that belongs, in hotel bed side tables. Why it isn't taught in college is beyond me. If I had, had this book 20 years ago, my life would be vastly different. It isn't just a time management system, which heaven knows I need, but it teaches you, how to figure out what you value most. The author does not stop there though, they teach you, how to get where you wish to be, efficiently.

A Game-Changer for Productivity and Focus
The 12 Week Year completely transformed how I approach goals and time management. Instead of waiting for the new year to set resolutions, this book helped me realize that every 12 weeks can be a "new year" — with sharper focus, urgency, and purpose. The system is simple yet powerful: set fewer goals, track your progress weekly, and execute with intention. What I love most is that it’s not just theory. Moran and Lennington provide a practical, step-by-step framework that you can implement immediately. From building a vision to creating tactical plans and measuring execution, every chapter delivers value.Since adopting the 12 Week Year mindset, I’ve accomplished more in a few months than I used to in an entire year. Highly recommended for entrepreneurs, professionals, or anyone tired of spinning their wheels and ready to take control of their time and results.

Great if You're Bad at Scheduling
It's great for people who have no idea how to plan their day. It will teach you how to get serious about your goals and go for them.

If you've got a Panda Planner, you're already doing this system
I'm a productivity nerd. I downloaded the free sample, thought this was great, then bought the whole book. If you're not great a planning, this is a strong roadmap. Problem is, I'm already doing every single individual thing in this book in my Rocketbook Panda Planner, which is awesome. If you like this system, that planner will make your life a lot easier. If you're leading a team - which I'm not - this book has lots of tips. But if it's just you, you may just want to get a Rocketbook Panda Planner and achieve exactly the same thing.

Simple & Practical
I usually skip the work-along sections in books, but this one challenged me in all the right ways. It called out my usual habits and encouraged me to fully commit to the 12 Week Year framework. The reminder that “nothing changes if nothing changes” hit home. A quick, powerful read that helped me overcome key obstacles to execution.

This works for me
I read Atomic Habits (another author), couldn’t quite adapt to what he was selling. I appreciate the work though. For some reason, this set up works so much better for me. Instantly went to work on a 12 week plan.

One of the best books
This book is exceptionally informative and masterfully written. If its insights are applied effectively, it has the potential to be the most impactful and transformative book I have ever read.

Only 2 weeks in and seeing results.
I'm in college, second semester, and I passed with A's and B's but I realized it was pretty chaotic, I pulled multiple last-minute assignments, and overall would've done better if I had a plan. The core concept behind the book is this: Annual goal setting allows for too much procrastination, no goal setting means no progress, 12 weeks is enough of a deadline to cut procrastination off, but also enough time to achieve measurable results. The shorter deadline for the 12 week goal(s) (Lose 30 pounds, increase income by $1,000, improve relationship with spouse) means the weeks, days, and hours matter more, and the book expresses this and guides you through navigating it. It gives you instructions for making a vision to work backwards and derive 12 week goals, weekly goals, daily tasks to meet those goals, and ways to execute consistently. It also provides a template for scheduling your time everyday. Some of it you might have to reread a few times, I had some trouble getting the time blocking down, but when you do it's a pretty effective system. I've only been using it for 2 weeks and I'm already getting more done than I usually do in a month.
