It's alright
If the pot is too small, the spout will leak. If too big, the spout will leak. It works well with a medium sized pot though. The strainer works fine with most medium-large type pots. It showed signs of melting when on a pot with boiling water though, so I would definitely not put it on until removed from heat.

The spout isn’t great
I gave 3 stars because the Strainer was okay. I was unhappy with the small spout because the water from the saucepan poured from underneath the spout and splashed everywhere.

FAIL
I mostly bought this for the spout. I wanted to use the spout to help me pour things from my Quisinart so that the liquid didn't run down the outside wall and miss the container completely. This made my problem WORSE! It does not form a good seal on the lip of the bowl (the slot is way too wide) and whatever you're trying to pour just goes slopping all over the counter and everywhere. Ugh.
