TisserandOrganic Citronella Essential Oil, 9 ML

Am not a fan of the smell of citronella, apparently. And I do not think it works all that well as a bug repellent. But is an ok combination with bergamot, diluted. The oil itself is fine, lasted longer than I wished it to.

All lovely and I love Tisserand essential oils but bought this to scare the flies...If you want to scare the flies don't bother.. I've loaded my dry diffuser and when I went back in my living room I literally had a party of flies. There was about 5 of them flying in circles in the middle of the room looking like they were having a blast. It was a bit weird to be far.. never seen anything like it.

Recently my smug neighbour gladis has been flaunting about my head rent free with her beady eyed hostility. shes always looked down on me and my wilting cabbage patch. Luckily this gem has calmed my thoughts away from her nasally chatter and menopausal hips

Brought this to dab on my families wrists & ankles to keep away mozzies for our holiday to the Caribbean. It worked a treat! Got no bites! And bearing in mind I was in the same place a few months before without it & got COVERED in bites, I literally had 30. I also used it in on my toddler & 9 year old with no issues. I just dabbed a very small amount on neat but some may wish to use with a carrier cream or oil. Still loads left after a week away & it is a pleasant scent.

I love Tisserand oils and have purchased many from them recently at great quality/price ratio.However, there seem to have been a fault with the bottle top of my Citronella oil, as it didn't close properly and oil had leaked in the packaging. When I opened it the first time, the top felt loose.The oil itself had a very unappealing "after-smell", very similar to rancid cooking oils. I decided not to use it as I wasn't sure whether it was still safe. I think a fault with the bottle top led to oxidation.I still put 4 stars as Tisserand oils are otherwise great quality oils with many organic options and at good price.
