UHPPTOE Waterproof Plastic Rain Cover for Access Control Keypad Controller Rainproof Protection Shell

These weather shields work great to protect against the elements for doorbell cameras as well as gate openers. My first one was put into service about a year and a half ago and looks the same as when it was installed over a doorbell camera mounted on a fence post. Location is in the foothills west of Denver at an elevation of 8,000 feet. Rain, snow, sub zero temperatures as well as direct sun in the summer has not caused any signs of deterioration. The price is very reasonable and it would be difficult and expensive to fabricate something that would work better than this.

Bought my first one 2 years ago and it's holding up great. I bought another last week and am using it for another gate to install a August wi-fi smart lock. The 4th generation smart locks fit this perfectly. The earlier 3rd generation I had to modify the August locking tabs to get it to fit and it's harder to close.But this rain cover is working great! Somebody should make one of these for August instead of the mods I had to perform cutting the circle for the door handle.

I got this to help shield my Schlage Encode keypad on a particularly exposed exterior door. Size-wise, this was a great fit, with only about 1/4" gap on all sides. I had to create a circular cut-out to accommodate the keypad's collar, but that was easy enough using the cover's included foam insert as a template, a hole saw and a Dremel/sand paper to smooth out the edges. I wish the keypad cover had an easier way to accommodate more keypad installation options, but acknowledge this isn't its purpose. This was likely designed for a keypad attached to a wall, but just a note if you plan to use this on a keypad attached to a door like me: the cover's hood sticks out several inches, and you should make sure that it has enough clearance for the door jamb if the door opens inwardly. Luckily I had just enough space, but some door hardware spacing might be closer to the jamb, in which case this solution would likely not work. Also, because the cover is solid black, it's not easy to see the top row of buttons when up close - you either need to bend over to see them or press by feel, but this is not a big concern. A (semi-) transparent cover might help, but these tend to discolor and/or become more brittle with exposure to the elements so this version was a good compromise for me.

Worked perfectly for our Ring doorbell! Keeps the rain and a lot of sunshine off of it. Attached picture to show that it does show in the view.

This keypad protector works perfectly for my Ring doorbell 1. It is installed on stucco where there is little overhang from weather. I have a silicone cover over the Ring for added protection. This unit keeps my ring dry on rainy days. Only setback is it blocks a little of peripheral view. I say you see about 90%-95% of view than you would see without it. But Still get all my alerts and motions with it. It’s doing the job I was expecting. I am satisfied.

Many people have problems with deteriorating RING ELITE buttons do to a bad design that has proven not to be weatherproof or durable.This PLASTIC COVER seems to solve the issue and provides some protection that hopefully will make the button last longer. I replace my RING ELITE almost on a yearly basis. This is ridiculous for such an expensive unit such as the RING ELITE

This worked great for me! I have it covering my gate keypad control to keep the rain and snow off the control pad. No complaints.

Overall, I am happy with the product. It's thick and sturdy and provided a flat surface for a more secure installation against the very rough stucco of my house. As you can see from the photo, it does cut down on the peripheral view, but I am still able to see anyone approaching my property from the street.
