It took way too long (upwards of 2 hours) the flat iron would get caught in my hair, I'd burn my scalp trying to get too close, it just was a hassle. I NEVER EVER had the patience to deal with this. I seen these all over and wanted to try it but changed my mind. Finally, it came around again and I gave in and purchased it! I'm so glad I did because what used to be 2+ hours was only 45mins and most of that was taking my hair down and detangling it from washing it! The actual straightening process was maybe 20 mins.Black woman or people with coarse hair, let's be honest, you wonder will it really work for US... I know I did! The answer is YES! That was the only thing that stopped me. I only seen thin hair with no real texture being pictured. This thing completely changed the straightening game. I read it wouldn't get to your roots but I found that if your pieces are small enough, I didn't have a problem. The square design really helps with that! I know they also make a round one. I'm not sure how easy it would be to get into the roots with that one, but the square for me made a huge difference. That's another thing! My pieces weren't even all that small! With a flat iron, you had to do mini sections. Like really mini! Only sectioned my hair down the middle and 6 sections on each side. That is what drastically cut the time down! It still ran through it and straightened my hair without having to do small parts (which I hated before)Y'all I'm so serious, buy this thing!!! Didn't really have high hopes for this. I mean, it's a brush. But WOW. Absolutely love it. So much easier than a straightener, for me anyway. Might get a little tricky if you have longer hair but for my length it's perfect. Regular straighteners usually leave my hair too flat (I probably just don't do it correctly lol) but my hair has the perfect amount of body using this brush. Definitely recommend!

My hair is super thick! So thick I haven't blow dried it in years because it would never fully dry or get straight but this brush has changed my life!!!! I'm so glad someone told me about this product. I posted a before and after picture.

I bought this for the number of rave reviews, hoping the ionic feature would lower the static and frizz I experience after using a flat iron. I opened the box and found the brush already inside the bag and the was wrinkled. When I pulled the brush out, the brush had hair in it. It wasn't dirty so I decided to clean out the hair and try it. The digital display was hardly visible, which I'm sure is the reason why it was returned. It worked just OK (I'd have given it a 3 star), but certainly no better than any flat iron or other heated tool. If that wasn't enough, I did find the return authorization inside the box. I will be returning it "again". BUYER BEWARE!!UPDATE 3/24/18: MiroPure contacted me immediately after my review and promised to make everything right, and they did! They immediately sent me a new brush. This time the box was sealed in shrink wrap and it was clearly new. I am having better luck with this one, but I will say that the digital display is still very dim. I need to turn the light off in order to read the temperature( see pictures below. The first is in a darkened bathroom, and the second is in a bathroom with normal lights). I'm not going to make a big deal of this because MiroPure came through (hence the 4 stars vs 1 star). We have a digital temperature "gun" so I tested my Solia flat iron and this brush, and the temperatures of both tools was pretty accurate so I'm pleased with that. I was optimistic about this product when I ordered it. Upon arrival, it looked really nice. As soon as I plugged it in, I noticed the overwhelming smell of plastic like other reviewers mentioned. Used right out of the box worked okay. I felt I could use a hair straightener in the same amount of time. At this time I could not decide if I was really a fan and wasn't sure I would keep it. What happened next made my decision easy.Okay, so here's where my one star comes in: DAY 2 of attempting to use this product, I plugged it in let it heat up (maybe 5 mins, max). I go to grab the brush and it blew up my outlet! Sparks were flying, my outlet is now black and my power was out in my bathroom. Needless to say, it's going back.

Love it! Works well and heats up quickly!

I read a lot of reviews before purchasing. I don’t know how these people have pictures with straight hair because I let me hair air dry (as I usually do when I straighten it) and I was not impressed. Maybe it’s beciase I have blonde hair but the ends of my hair, after I used this brush, you could see all the “dead ends”. Also,this takes about the same time as it takes me to straighten (about 12-15 minutes) so there was nothing faster about it. The only thing I think people like about it is the fact that it’s like you’re brushing your hair and you don’t have to put much effort into it. In my opinion, using this brush looks like you just took a blow dryer to your hair and blew it dry with your fingers, if that makes sense. Needless to say, I returned it.
