Does everything you need for a workshop lamp: good strong magnetic base never seems to lose its grip, can be bent to almost impossible angles, timer works, 3 degrees of luminosity; what more do you want? Lead is a very respectable length. I've lost track of how many of these I've bought for my workshop and craft show stalls. My only VERY small quibble is that they sometimes interfere with the workshop radio (something to do with capacitance I'm told), but that's a small (and rare) price to pay for light wherever you want/need it.

Bought this for using with wood turning as attaches to the lathe with its magnet and gives a bright light for close up working

Really great light for the price point. The next step up is about double. Not really found the timer to be useful but the 3 brightness options are, though I tend to just leave it on max.Magnets fairly strong.The ones at twice the price come with a better magnet. But it's sufficient. Currently mounted sideways on a bandsaw so only the magnet was holding it up and it's fine.Neck stays where it's told. And is fairly stiff but not ackwars to move.The cords a reasonable length. But it's not overly long. So depending on where it's going to be placed that might be a problem for some people.Wish it had the option of buying with a wall wart usb plug . I have a few lying around from old phones. And I'm sure most people do.That's the only complaint and it's minor.

I have found this lamp so useful and because its plug is a usb connection, I can use a power bank, and I tried it out and the power drain is so low, I set it up 3 times for 3 hours and it only took 5% of the power in the bank. I use it on my Lathe because I am registered Blind it increases the brightness on the working area, which helps me see better what I am doing. Being a magnetic fixing allows me to adjust where I want it.

Needed a flexible light with a magnetic base to pop on the side of my bandsaw and looked at a few that were all £50 plus.Took a pint on this and absolutely cannot complain at all. Three brightness settings plus and off timer make it easy to use and the light is bright and clear with easy adjustability.I just have it plugged in to a mains socket with USB ports as no plug comes with it.Seriously, if your use case is similar don’t get sucked in to the over priced ones from the workshop type sellers.

good bit of kit very bright at max settimg cable lengtj is good and magnet is strong i put a pieco of 40 denier leg from tights over the mag to prevent scratching car body and wad still strong enough to hold in position and move with ot fear of scratching damaging paint work

Could be longer, but an ideal 3 stage brightness switch for my small workshop. I've stuck it to my bandsaw.

I like everything about this lamp, the lead is very long, it's easy to use, cheap to run, perfect.
