I've been profiling A10 tool steel and it is hard core stuff. This file just shreds it. It's an arm workout but it is doing the job and after 6 hours of hardcore filing, there is not a single broken tooth and everything is still sharp.

Very good tool
Absolutely fantastic file. My outlook on files changed a few years ago when I learned their natural habitat is not piles together on a drawer, that that is why all the files is used left the impression that they were for rough work only. I've used a number of files to shape knife blades and woodworking tool blades before heat treating and this is by far my favorite. Really does remove a lot of metal and yet leaves a surprisingly good surface.

Fantastic tool, mirror finish on metal and practically self cleaning. Never loads up - recommended for sculptors and smiths!!
