These bags look fantastic. I have not done anything like this before, so a new project

something new i haven't done before. especially the straps...have looked and looked. will be for a day/week when i don't have anything else taking priority.

Love this book. The illustrations are bright and clear and very helpful. Instructions are all explained really clearly. Can't wait to get started. Lots of help for making the straps too

I have never managed to learn to follow charts or even patterns properly until this book. It is much more than a book of bags. To be honest the bags are all similar just different designs but the explanations of how to crochet make it worth while. I didn't know there were different ways of making the stitches but there are and even which way you pick up the thread changes the look of the stitch. All this is explained and for the first time I was able to produce something that actually looked like the photograph. In addition her explanations of how the make the handles and cords are worth the book in themselves. If you don't know what split ply braiding is you will after reading this. It is worth it for the explanations of how to form the stitches and what a difference the direction of pick up can make and the handles to finish the bags.

This is a lovely book of patterns. They look fairly complicated but I look forward to the challenge.
