Silly Looking, But it Worked!
I have an all wood house (Wood siding, wood trim boards). For about 3 weeks, I had a woodpecker continually visiting the corner of my house, pecking about a 20' length of corner trim. It got so bad, I had to replace it. Then, he started on the opposite corner! Needless to say, I got tired of climbing 20' in the air to repaint damaged trim. So, I started searching for answers and found this. The product is incredibly simple: Basically a small yellow ball, and some ribbons. You basically attach this to your home where the birds are visiting and it will scare them away (Ribbons and balloon constantly moving, plus brightly colored). I was skeptical to say the least! However, since putting them up I have not had a single visit from my feathered friend. It's been about 3 weeks since they've been up, and still no problems. The only downside is it looks pretty gaudy having a big balloon and red stringers flying on your house, but it's worth it. The kit says to remove once the bird has relocated, but I have no idea how long that may be. I'll probably wait another week, then remove and see if anything happens.*Update* 1 week after removal, and the bird has not returned - so this product did its job!*Update* 3 weeks after removal, and bird has not returned. Definitively worked!*5 year update: It must have really scared the whole family...no woodpecker has ever returned :-DOverall, I have to give it 5 stars. It's inexpensive, and solved my problem, so I can't complain.

I can’t believe this worked
Well the good news is it scared away a woodpecker who was having a hay day on my brand new Hardie board trim - I mean why would a bird want a beak full of cement? Anyhow after trying some streamers this did the trick. Only downside is we had some wind which snapped the plastic holder and sent it flying into the woods.

This product did not in any way deter the woodpecker that has been damaging my home.
I am sorry to say this product did nothing to deter the woodpecker that has been damaging my home. The bird would often sit on a branch right next to the yellow ball. I really wish this had been more effective.

It’s actually working!
We moved into a vacant home. The woodpecker in question had damaged the home so badly. It cost over 1k to replace all the siding. Then I found this thing. I herd him the first few days after I moved in. We herd him pecking at the house. After I hung up the balloon thing. He’s been gone. I haven’t seen him. I haven’t herd him. And zero new holes in my house. I will try and update in a few months. But it looks like our problem is gone. Woo hoo! Definitely try it out!2 ish months later. Still no sign of him. 🤷🏻♀️ I’m pretty happy he’s gone! I don’t miss patching up holes.

Broke quickly
Seemed to work, but with just a moderate breeze the little plastic arm that holds the fake Owl balloon broke.

So far so Good, No Woodpecker.
I have been using it for 3 weeks now and so far the Woodpecker has not come back. Fingers crossed this will continue to work.

Effective product
Immediate results and effective, but does not last long. Woodpeckers are smart and realize that it’s a decoy.
