This is quite a weighty item but the weight of the individual chain strings allow for a good drape that sway gently in a breeze. Enough light and air pass through the chain as can be seen in the photo with the door closed. Installed by drilling into the brickwork on the outside of the house to avoid drilling into the UpVC door frames. Dog is a little hesitant in passing through the chains at the moment until he gets used to weight of the chains. Care needs to be taken when closing the door to avoid jamming the chains. Will need more time to establish how weather proof the chains are and whether the number of flies getting into the kitchen is reduced. Easy to unhook when not required and the overall construction is of good quality and worth the price paid.

Sturdy,easy to fit and adjust, fitted on a outside door,does rattle the door when windy so I put a hairband on it

This is by far the best fly screen I've purchased. It doesn't block out the light. I now only have the occasional fly get in which usually is from when the dog has charged through and the strands have got tangled.

It looks good in the window but the chains are too light and get tangled and hook onto each other! I’m forever untangling the strands. For the money I expected heavier chains that hung well

Have tried all sorts of fly screens for door - this chain screen does not get tangled up like the fabric or cheap plastic strips - the shiny chains probably scare the flies - our cat has no problem walking through so that's good too!
