Natural Rawhide Chips – Premium Long-Lasting Dog Treats with Thick Cut Beef Hides, (1Lb)

My 55lbs 3.5 year old dog gets a smaller version of these every day. These claim to be longer lasting so i thought I’d give them i try. He only got one and once he got to the end, it got lodged in his throat and totally blocked his airway. Thankfully I was in the room and noticed an odd sound. I looked at him and he was standing perfectly still and not breathing. I ran over and had to push on his tummy to get the remainder of the treat high enough in his throat for me to grab it with my fingers and pull it out. He’s never had issues with the regular treats so I assume the “longer lasting” part of these also makes it harder to swallow them. I’m SO thankful I was home. Please watch your puppies if you give them these treats. That story could’ve easily ended much differently for us.

What an amazing deal! I have a 48 lb. Bully mix and she loves rawhides. She was getting bored of bully sticks and I needed something else to substitute the Bully Stick and Himalayan chew expense before I had to sell my house to pay for them! :) These are a perfect solution to mix it up. They are very large for chips, with some smaller ones mixed in and they are thick as well (not those cheap paper thin chips that dogs will chew in 5 minutes!) I was very pleasantly surprised. If you're on the fence wondering if you'll get your money's worth - you will! And then some. There are a TON in the box. Great value and great product. My doggo loves them!

I have purchased this brand of bulk chews several times. It seems that with each batch the range of thickness of the chips widens. With this most recent package, there are probably a pound of them that are too thick for my Golden Retrievers to chew (believe it or not). If your dog is a large, aggressive chewer, the thicker ones would be great. Keep in mind, though, that there are also chips that are paper-thin. I really wish the manufacturer would return to producing chips with greater uniformity. As it stands, I have to give too many away.

I have a German Shepherd and another dog that is 65+ pounds. They go through thick cut cow ears in about 15 minutes. This bag has a few chips that are on the thinner side but most are really thick. Thick enough that my dogs won't even chew on them, and I have never seen these two turn down a treat, chip or ear. Was really happy when the bag came because it was well packed, seem to be fairly uniform in size, variety of thicknesses but none of the really thin crispy type that my dogs finish in just a few minutes, flat, no smell - if you have a power chewer this will be a great buy.

These are fantastic treats that keep our dog busy, while also cleaning his teeth.Our pup is a 35lb terrier/cattle mix, and he loves these. They are quite large, so I cut them in half before giving them to him (VERY hard to cut, I had to use heavy-duty tin snips!). I give him one half chip 2-3 times/week as a special treat, and each time they keep him busy for 15-20 minutes or more. Some are thicker, others thinner, so you can choose based on how long you want to keep your dog busy.No mess, no staining, no real smell to them. The perfect dog treat! Chewing on them also helps scrape away plaque from his teeth, which will extend his life.The 1 lb bag has lasted us several months this way, and now that I know he loves them I'll probably get a bigger bag on my next order. Definitely glad we found these!

UPDATE December 2019:Went from 5 stars to 3. Product quality has gone down markedly and repeatedly. The company puts large, thick rawhides on the outside but thin small ones on the inside. I can't give the smaller ones to my large dog, so these are not nearly as good of a value as they used to be. I hope the quality improves or I'll have to look for a new brand.ORIGINAL REVIEW:I've gotten at least 3 deliveries of these rawhides. I have been very happy with all of the products I've received. The rawhides are fairly large and thick. They vary in size and thickness a bit, but I never receive any that are too small for my large dog. I'm not sure these would be great for small dogs unless they are voracious chewers. I love these for my large dog as they are large and thick enough to keep him entertained for more than 1 minute and cost way less than a large rawhide roll.They come banded up in a small plastic bag, so be aware that you will need a couple of large plastic bags or a bin to store the opened product.My dog loves these and I feel like I'm getting a good product at a good price.

(Please see additional FYI below**) These are terrific in more ways then saving money and trips to store for more. Always since younge pups they have a regular diet of "name brand" rawhide chews. Good for sparing damage to furniture, etc.** A distinct change in my dogs aggressive behavior with other brands of chews. But ever since trying these there is NO aggression what so ever, truly remarkable!We are convinced that there is something not right about American processed brands. This has been evident when occasionally alternating with the products of past use with this that we have months of daily feeding in comparison.)

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  It's not what I like r dislike this is more about my 2 Dobermans...They love these things but like all things with my dogs, they just don't last that long..give 1 to ea dog & they may hold onto em for awhile but when they start working on em there gone in 6 minutes!Ea chip weighs around 2.1-2.6 oz ea.. that's about 38 pieces in 5 #'s... NOT a good value⁰⁹⁹90p if u give them 2 pieces ea day...I'll be getting the 3" puffy square chicken flavored chips from Walmart from now on.. I can give them ea 2 a day and the bag will last much longer than the 2 weeks this bag last at 2 a day for 2 Dobermans and the best part they will only consume 2 #'s instead of choking on the big thick pieces...
