An affordable keyboard with all the bells and whistles as the high end keyboards
EDIT:I bought the Magic Keyboard. The ESR Rebound that I liked so much is now sitting in it’s box for back up and I just bought the Magic Keyboard. I regret nothing.TL:DRBasically I really like the ESR Rebound Keyboard case but I still opted to purchase the Magic Keyboard as my daily driver for my IPad Pro 13 M4. There was a lacking in the ESR Rebound in that I missed the Magic Keyboard. I kept finding myself researching the Magic Keyboard and looking at comparison videos even though I claimed to be happy with the ESR Rebound. I couldn’t get it out of my mind! So there you are, I gave in to the $299 on amazon and now I am typing on a keyboard that checks all my boxes, it’s asethetically and functionally JUST RIGHT.I bought this for my IPad Pro 13 M4, which is ginormous and quite thin. This is awesome but it causes my anxiety over the safety of the iPad to rise to a new level. I upgraded from my iPad Air 4th generation (~11”) with the white Magic Keyboard. I had my iPad Air for about 5 years and I was so used to it I would treat it very casually and throw it around, it was my go to so this big thin iPad is something to get used to.I loved the Magic Keyboard I had. I couldn’t justify spending the extra money on the Magic Keyboard even at $299 on Amazon this time around. My second go to would have been the Logitech keyboard however even on Amazon at $259 I might as well have shelled out the money for the Apple Magic Keyboard. After doing some research on compatible keyboards I found ESR made this Rebound Keyboard Case. I already am a big fan of this brand so it made it even easier to choose with the price tag on it being about $100 which is much more affordable than the previously mentioned keyboards that obviously have their quality behind them and their brands as well.It had all the things I could have asked for in the specs. A case for the random time I take my iPad off the keyboard and backlit keys. Not much to ask for however when I received the keyboard it had so much more! The function keys on the top row, the different colors for backlit keys, it’s sturdy and I feel my IPad is protected. The feeling of typing is unlike the magic keyboard in that it is clicky, somewhat like a mechanical keyboard but it is obviously not to that quality. I like how it sounds and feels while typing. I appreciate the different colors for the backlit keys however I would have been fine with just a white backlight because of what I’m used to. The trackpad to me feels like a good size, I am used to the 11” Magic Keyboard and it is about the same size, I have to get used to how loud the clicks are on the trackpad, quite different from a Magic Keyboard especially the new one with the haptic feedback. It doesn’t bother me so much as I just tap on the screen if I need to move or click on anything for the most part. The quality of the material this is made out of is easy smeared onto. If I have lotion or even semi oily hands from cuticle oil, something of that sort it definitely shows on the keys and arm rests. It’s not hard to clean but it’s just a little unsightly and I’m being overly careful with my new big toy so I am constantly cleaning. It might not be a big deal to many but I am a little neat freak. Many have commented or complained about the weight of the case and keyboard. I actually like it. My iPad has not tipped over as my old iPad Air 4th gen with the Magic Keyboard would constantly which I appreciate because it’s a big iPad and I want to keep it safe instead of having it fall off my lap or fall back on the bed because it’s top heavy. I am not one to travel around with my iPad, being a stay at home mom it does not go very far from my home unless we go on vacation and even then it depends on where we’re going. So I cannot account for traveling weight. I still feel IMO it’s not that heavy and if I were a student or if I used it to bring to work it would not be inconvenient to me. Of course in comparison to the Magic Keyboard and the Logitech keyboard they are much thinner and would be more travel friendly. The keyboard has its own battery which holds very well. I’ll be using the set up all day starting at 100% and it’ll go down to 90% by the end of the day. It does have a standby mode that it goes to automatically after a certain amount of time. You can charge the keyboard by charging the iPad but it does not work the other way around. It’s very easy to connect to the Bluetooth and I haven’t had any problems with connectivity. There is a slight lag to get it out of standby mode but it’s 2 seconds to wake the keyboard and it’s back and running, not something you’d see in the Magic Keyboard or Logitech but I can live with the 2 seconds to wake up the keyboard to keep $150-200 or more dollars. For the price this keyboard is with about the same features as the other keyboards and good quality I’m happy with it. I use my iPad everyday for productivity, organization, videos, research, recipes, messaging and browsing. I’m on here more than I am on my phone. This keyboard has been a great affordable addition to my new IPad Pro

UPDATE!!!Loved it for the first 4 weeks but then it broke
The media could not be loaded. Original Review at bottom… UPDATE:So as I mentioned before, I love this keyboard. I tried quite a few keyboard case options over the last few years, since I got my iPad Pro. I ended up settling for an iPad keyboard case that had the iPad connected to the keyboard 24/7 (basically turning it into a laptop) and if I wanted to remove it, it was a hassle and the iPad was left unprotected. So I went on a hunt for a better option and tried a few various designs out but this ESR option is by far the best design and perfect for day-to-day use in my case.(pun intended) I love that I can so easily just take the iPad itself off of the keyboard, and still have it protected by the case. The case attaches to the keyboard magnetically on the back and on the bottom, so it holds it in place in a secure and sturdy way. The case still allows the magnetic functionality that the iPad has without a case which is great because I can just pop the iPad on my fridge and other magnetic surfaces without the keyboard attached. The keys are really nice to type on and the keyboard is really responsive. When not in consistent use, it goes to sleep, but turns on automatically as soon as you start typing again and is the most responsive when coming out of sleep mode than any of the others I tried. The battery lasts a good bit of time, so I havent had to worry about the charging aspect too much. Another reason I really like the design of this is there are many times where I’d like to just take the iPad places with me without bringing a keyboard, and this allows me to bring my iPad along while having it still protected and not having to take a keyboard as well. However the keyboard is very light so many times I just opt to bring the keyboard along with my iPad anyway for this reason. The flap that holds the Apple Pencil in place is great, it is attached to the keyboard part of the case and can magnetize to both the front or back of the case which keeps it out of the way but holds the pencil secure when the keyboard is closed. I love that I can still charge my Apple Pencil with the case on, but the top section with the Apple Pencil magnet is still protected by the iPad case. The magnetic attachment to the Apple Pencil is still very strong, and it charges with no issue. When I purchased this case online, I was a little worried about the viewing angles, because there are only two options, but it has not been an issue for me, and both angles are suitable for my needs. Again, because you can just easily take the iPad off of the keyboard when I really need to. I just remove the iPad and prop it up to fit my needs and I can still use the keyboard if needed without the iPad being magnetically attached. Overall, the design is great and exactly what I was looking for. While I do wish it had a trackpad I haven’t missed my trackpad on my older model so much. And the portability and size of this keyboard makes not having a trackpad worth it in my opinion. In relation to my previous review, they did make it right and send me a new keyboard case after a little bit of back-and-forth. More than I would’ve liked, but I was directed to the correct place and sent a new keyboard case very quickly (like within a day once, we finally got it figured out.) still I do feel the design and functionality is five stars for this case 100%, because of the hassle I had to go through and the fact that my keyboard literally broke within 40 days… And it wasn’t as simple as “hey, I’m having these issues and would like to utilize the warranty” and them send a new one… turned into multiple months of waiting and contacting different people.. It just wasn’t the best customer service experience in my opinion... I considered deducting a star.. However, it was resolved in the end so I am still giving 5 stars. The well thought out design and overall quality of this keyboard just outweighs my annoyance of the customer service issue. I still 100% recommend this case and will continue to use it.Original Review Here!Loved this keyboard and still really like the set up. However, just a week after the Amazon 1 month return period the letter “u” key stopped working. Shortly after it has stopped connecting automatically. I have to turn it off and back on each time I start using it after it goes to sleep and it is really frustrating to type on because of one of the keys is not working. I dont travel with my iPad very often and one of the reasons I opted for this design was so I could bring just the iPad alone by easily detaching the keyboard when I do bring the iPad to work and such. So the keyboard itself hasn’t moved outside of my home and pretty much sits on my bed at all times. So I dont see why its started having problems already. I reached out to support and got a confirmation email saying they’d get back to me in 24 hors but it’s been 15 days now and I haven’t received a response from anyone.. I purchased this from ESR specifically because they’re a brand I trusted and thought this product would hole up long term. Honestly sucks because I love ESR and have purchased many of their products in the recent months but this hasn’t been a great experience and I’ll be thinking twice before bying their other products.

It’s top heavy with iPad attached
It is well built and feels like it will protect the iPad. The keypad often has a delay before it responds for the first time, but after that it works well. They keypad types well on your lap, as well as hard surfaces. The not so great part, is the unit is top heavy with iPad attached and can easily tip backward on slightly uneven surfaces. It is decidedly HEAVY, so you may not easily forget it once you are use to the weight. The stylus can rest on the side, but falls off easily unless strap is across the stylus. In short after a few months, I grew tired of the weight of the case. On another positive note, I only had to charge the keyboard about once in 3.5 months, which is wonderful. You may need to charge more frequently, is you use your keyboard more often.
