Even tho this hoop is more money than a plain hoop, I love the magnetic feature. It keeps my fabrics tight and that makes for easy embroidery. I hope to get a little bit smaller size soon.

Box was damaged, but the item had some sscratches also I think it was used as there was stress marks where connected to machine. It did function well despite the imperfectionsVery strong magnetic hold which fabric stays where you put it

This fits on my Baby Lock Flare, in case anyone just bought one and is wondering about it. Works well for edge to edge quilting. I'm glad I bought it, but I don't understand why it costs so much. This is a piece of metal and a plastic rectangle with magnets in it.

I bought it to work with thicker bulky material. Unfortunately it doesn’t hold for thick fabrics. I would think for lighter fabrics it would be great.

This is my 8th DIME hoop I have purchased and it is by far the worst quality I have ever received from them. I've had such great success with their hoops and sadly, because I was busy with other projects I didn't open the hoop until a few weeks ago, and not used until today, which of course is past the return window. I am so very disappointed in this hoop and the fact that it managed to get through the DIME quality control department (assuming they have one) and allowed to be shipped. My machine keeps getting hoop errors and I believe it is because the top of the hoop will not center properly on the metal base. Quite disappointing for the money it cost me.

Have not tried the hoop. Will have check with my doctor to see if it will affect my Pacemaker.

My item arrived and was not in a separate box. When I opened it up I noticed immediately that it was old and worn. There is a screw sticking out on the side. There is no guard to go between the 2 hoop pieces and also the rulers were missing. I am sending it back ASAP. I paid full price for a new item and that is not what was sent to me. I

Loved working with this magnetic hoop.It was worth the price that I paid which was the sale price of $330.00 mark in Aud currency with free shipping. Quilted 2 single quilts with it using the 6 x 10 hoop size.I did grid the quilts with cotton thread the size of the edge to edge design.Then when hooping used a small ruler to measure from the edge of my cotton grid to the edges of the hoop,to make sure the design was correctly centred.I was worried that my batting and fabric may have been too thick for the hoop to work properly as some had commented in my search and could not find much info on how thick the sandwich would have to be before the hoop wouldn't work,before I made my purchase,but I used the Matilda Wool/Poly (60%/40%) batting with quilting cotton and the hoop worked like a charm.I would certainly recommend it to anyone that is thinking of quilting and I am sure I will be experimenting with it's use in other machine embroidery applications.
