Agnes is a close-fitting stretch knit top that's destined to become your new wardrobe staple. Choose from scoop neckline or sweetheart neckline gathered with elastic; long or short sleeves; plain sleeves or puffed and ruched sleeves - eight possible combinations! The neckline is finished with a narrow band. You can sew Agnes on a regular sewing machine or on an overlocker if you have one. You will need: • Fabric - 1m x 147cm wide for sizes 1-3 / 1.5m x 147cm wide for sizes 4-8 • OR 1.5m x 115cm wide for all sizes • Matching thread • 25cm (10in) x 6-8mm wide clear elastic, ribbon or stay tape to stabilise the shoulders • Optional: 50cm (20in) x 5mm wide woven elastic for the ruched sleeves and neckline • Stretch or ballpoint needle for your sewing machine • Sewing machine and basic tools (a rotary cutter and mat are useful) • Optional: Overlocker (serger) Fabric suggestions: Light- to medium-weight jersey or sweater knit fabric with at least 25% crosswise stretch. Great beginner pattern
Love this pattern so much! Like all Tilly and the Buttons patterns it's printed on fantastic quality paper with clear in depth instructions.Great beginners pattern, very quick to make up, I've made it in both thin jersey and quite a thick Terry (pictured) and both come up really well. Would recommend.

Excellent pattern. One of the best
Extremely good quality thick paper. Traced the pattern to make several tops in different sizes. Only took me 2 hours with an overlocker but equally you could make with a basic machine. Fits well and not baggy like many tops. I thoroughly recommend this. Very easy for a beginner

I love this pattern! Provides an easy introduction to sewing with jersey, with pictures and easy-to-follow instructions. Well worth it, especially if you're new to sewing with jersey, or new to sewing full stop.
