Fun!
I've been wishy washy about some of the Magic: the Gathering 'Universes Beyond' scheme, partially because of the pricing of the Universes Beyond decks. I'd also like that some Universes picked had some sort of in-game Magic: the Gathering Arena component, though I understand that licensing for an online game might make such a tie-in too complicated, on top of the fact that Arena technically doesn't allow for Commander Deck play. That all said, how could I turn down a Doctor Who Magic: the Gathering deck? Answer, I couldn't. This is a wonderful deck! Every card has Who-themed artwork, even though some of the cards aren't actually new to Magic. The mechanics are a little complicated to pick up -- this deck also features the Planechase mechanic -- but as always they're fairly self-explanatory. The deck is fun to play and definitely has some interesting cards in it. The die that comes with the set is a bit disappointing, but that's all right. The fantastic card art and thrillingly in-Who-universe people/places/concepts/ideas makes the set fabulous all by themselves. As a long-time Whovian, I was thrilled to see the details touched on and included in the deck, and it easily had me dusting off my in-person Magic skills to play in real life with other people. A very fun deck, and I'd say a must-have for Whovian Magic: the Gathering fans.

Box Came Damaged
This is intended as a Christmas gift. Now while the box itself is still sealed and I can't look inside to see if anything is missing or not, it does seem to show that everything is still in it. Now the box containing the cards was damaged as in squished at the bottom of it. Otherwise I see nothing else wrong with it.

Awesome, text heavy, powerful deck
This thing is great and if you can keep track of all the triggers easily, it's pretty easy to play and quite powerful. Rose can become the true hero in no time. The episode inspired cards and art are great and just make it that much more fun to play. The Missy deck is potentially way over powered, blasting the board with Dalek and Cybermen, making this feel less overpowered in the bigger picture. There are also a lot of great non-basic lands and of course a sol ring.
