ClosetMaid 8002 2-Tier Wall Rack, 12-Inch Wide, White

This type of rack is sold in lots of stores, most notably the giant discount megastore that starts with “W”. Their price is often lower than this brand name and it is a true case of you get what you pay for.The ClosetMaid is constructed of a thicker more rigid grade of steel than the cheaper models I have used. What I especially like is that, rather than have fixed mounting holes on the rack itself like many of the cheaper units, this one comes with 4 heavy-duty nylon mounting clips than can be attached where and how the user needs them. This is important if you have panel doors on your cupboards (panel doors are the ones with a normal thickness wood frame which surrounds a thinner insert of wood in the center). The center portion of the wood on panel doors is much too thin to use mounting screws and most of the fixed hole type of racks won’t work with them.Take a look at the photo I attached. Note that because the nylon mounting clips can be used anywhere I mounted them on the vertical side rails rather than on the horizontal rails like the instructions suggest. That way I can use them at the outer extremes of the rack and screw them into the much thicker wood frames of the doors.IMPORTANT: if you mount them this way mount them with the screw hole facing outward and be sure to mount them right under the horizontal rails to get maximum support. Again the photo show what it would take lots of words to describe.Another little hint is, note that I could have mounted the clips more toward the top. I didn’t because the smaller upper tray would normally be used for very light things like sponges and scouring pads. I mounted them lower to give maximum support to the lower tray which is more likely to be used to store heavier things in bottles.Mounted this way, the ClosetMaid rack is very secure. It is the best of its type I have seen and the price is good. I like it and will be buying more of them.

Our linen closet, bathroom cabinets and pantry have long been in need of some well-thought out organization solutions. As a family of 4, we have lots of stuff to corral. After reaching the end of my rope with the bathroom and linen closet, I decided to figure out a solution to the problem of items left on the bathroom counter, thrown haphazardly onto the closet shelves, etc. Based on the review of another person, I ordered just 1 of these shelves to check out the quality. I had been considering a full door-length organizer but am so happy I tried this first. Quality is excellent (very sturdy) and the size is just right. The 12" width fits the inside of our smaller linen closet door perfectly. The depth of the shelf is just right and can accommodate a large mouthwash bottle, Lysol wipes bottle, and rolls of toilet paper easily. The space between the two shelves is high enough to fit toothbrushes in a cup and kid-size toothpaste tubes on end. I was so pleased that I went ahead and ordered 3 more so I could space them apart to fit our needs on the inside of the linen closet door from top to bottom. The reason I am SO HAPPY we went with these vs. the one-piece organizer is because I can choose the spacing between the units so that we can fit taller items on the top shelves (mouthwash bottles, hand soap refill bottles, spare large shampoo bottles, hairspray bottles, etc.). End result? Super organized setup for busy mornings getting ready for school. The kids keep their toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss, brushes/combs, hair gel, deodorant, etc on their own shelves. They grab what they need and return it to its spot on the door. No more climbing over each other to get what each person needs in our smallish main bathroom.. A place for all things and all things in their place. We didn't realize how much we really NEEDED these shelves until we got them and installed them (which btw was very easy to do). No complaints at all!

This is the second one I purchased in the last five years. Good quality. Just wish they would provide support for the sides so smaller items don’t fall out.

This wire rack is exactly what I was looking for. I hung it up on the side of a cabinet, by my dryer. I'm using it to hold the detergent and measuring cup, dryer sheets and container of wipes on it.

I love this shelf. It was priced good, holds plenty of items in my pantry. I now have 4 of them. Easy to install and they don't look super cheap. Would buy again!

this wire coated two shelve is inexpensive...."not cheap junk"....It is easy to hang, comes with the brackets, mollies and screws.It holds things really well.. It's a good deal for the price and solved the problem of having to pay more for shelving I have used these in the past and got these now for a man that is disabled and needed shelves in his bathroom.I do recommend them.
