A great addition!
This was a good buy and is a great addition to my toolbox. I like the accuracy and digital readout, especially if I want exact measurements. As others have mentioned, the height retaining screw is flimsy and any kind of harsh tightening could see thread stripping of the unit. As it stands, I just nip it up slightly to avoid that happening but it could have been made sturdier. The gauge is by no means robust and as such, needs to be handled with a bit of care, given it's a measuring instrument. I intend to make a small box for mine, to keep it safe and for storage. Overall though, a decent buy and recommended.

Handy little thing this
OK, this is a really handy little thing - it genuinely does make setting plunge depths and fence positions on the router far, far quicker and easier than struggling on with using a simple steel rule - but you can also use it as a short marking gauge.4 stars rather than five because it does just feel *cheap* (the plastic feels very plasticky and brittle, but I guess at this price that's to be expected), and if the rule had been longer it could have been used for negative depths as well (gauging that rebate you cut with the mitre saw for example, or even as a double check on the groove you just cut with the router).Other than that, I really can't complain - well worth the buy.

Depth Gauge
Well made, handy for measuring bench saw blade height and router table bit.

Not outstanding, but not bad
It is a little flimsy as others have said. I've got used to it and can make it work for me with no difficulty. I'm using it to adjust the fence and bits of a homemade router table and am happy with the accuracy it allows me. My only real gripe is that sometimes the lock screw moves the scale when you tighten it, not very much, and not enough to be a problem for me. I expect this to get worse over time though, as the scale is plastic and the screw is metal, so some wear is bound to affect it sooner or later. I'll certainly look for something better if and when it needs replacing. It's ok but, I expected better from Trend.

Very useful!
Generally this is a great tool, however it only really works where you have plenty of access to the thing you are measuring.I was trying to adjust the height of my table saw blade and couldn't move the fence which was approx. 18mm away from the blade. This didn't give the gauge enough space to straddle the blade and when trying to use the gauge parallel to the blade the small 'lip' on the bottom of the measure kept slipping off the blade.Similarly, I couldn't measure the distance between the blade and the fence as the gauge wouldn't fit between them.I have since bought a different style of Height Gauge for a similar price that will work in a more confined area.

Just the job!
This little unit has a wide variety of uses. So far I've used it for router bit depths, saw cut markings and alignment of several work pieces. It's a doddle to set and read, and is very lightweight to use. The fact that it's made from rigid plastic is a great plus as it doesn't add bulk to my already heavy toolbox. There's not much else I can think of to say except, I'm very pleased with its performance.
