This seemed expensive but I'm convinced it's worth it. In the same way 'the best camera is the one you have with you' is a truism, I was keen to get a smartphone tripod that I'd always have with me. This is so small, you can easily leave it attached. It attaches via MagSafe and the friction is decent on my Apple silicone case. When deployed it feels like a proper tripod - solid and stable. There's an included tool for tightening the friction on the ball joint - works very well. I'm using it for FaceTime calls at work and will be doing long exposure photography when out in the hills. No more propping my iPhone on a wall.

Its pricey, but very easy and light to carry around and hold the phone very well. Use this one more now than the Joby non-MagSafe ones I had before.

Not cheap but gets the job done with minimum footprint with the usual peak design quality.

This thing scratches itself when you just open and close it normally, to avoid it you literally have to carefully look and make sure it’s PERFECTLY aligned when closing. It only takes one time to scratch the metal for the bare silver to reveal. It’s also very heavy, even with the titanium 15 pro max it’s too heavy to keep on the phone, just gets uncomfortable to hold quickly. Especially with a case. Without a magnet case the magnet doesn’t keep it fully secure, it holds fine but you could easily knock it off by pushing the phone. Definitely couldn’t hold the phone by the stand like a selfie stick without it likely falling off sooner or later.Besides that this thing is excellent, it’s in use daily holding my phone next to my laptop, and is perfect for watching or showing people videos, photos etc at a table. I have a flip stand in my case too but that almost never gets used now.It’s also great for taking photos/videos, just keep in mind you can’t angle the phone up much beyond 90 degrees or it will topple.

Into my photography and keep meaning to take phone photography more seriously but never had a tripod i felt I could trust. That all changed with the Peak Design Mobile Tripod.Admittedly, I do like Peak Design's stuff (I already have Slide Lite and Capture Clip for my cameras, and their Pixel 7 Pro case for my phone), so whilst the Mobile Tripod isn't cheap, I knew I'd be getting a quality product.The magnet (along with the Pixel 7 Pro case) is ridiculously strong (if, as I didn't originally, you connect the tripod the right way up!) and I have no worries about the phone slipping off. Separate the two, flip phone horizontal, reattach, and you're good for landscape shooting too.Yes, the Tripod adds a little bit of bulk to the phone when it's folded away, but nothing that didn't stop me dropping my phone in my pocket, and I soon got used to it being there and the added bulk/weight. The included mini allen key is great for tightening up the legs, and if I'm not out shooting then the Tripod doubles-up as a phone stand when on my desk.

...yet very much worth it.Remote working and taking video calls on the fly has never been such a dreamy experience.

neat does the job

Excellent concept and design, almost perfect - but the quality of materials and strength of magnet let it down! Very soft metal that dents and scratches easily that create risk of scratching the iPhone. Also the magnet is just not quite strong enough to feel confident to have the phone on it without dropping off unless it’s perfectly aligned. No difference with/without case.As I say, almost perfect but quality not up to the price.
