Waring Commercial Blender
I just got the blender. So far its ok. If anything goes wrong I will repost. I bought the blender for smoothies and also wanted a product made in the USA. Very tired of buying foreign junky products. The blender is a toggle switch blender. I was on the fence about the other model which is a digital pad a bit more money but if the toggle ever breaks you can get the parts to fix but if its the digital pad you are screwed if it breaks so that is why I got the toggle. Its a 1 HP blender, 6.8 amps. To me the blender is not that loud. It has rubber feet and I haven't noticed it moving around while blending. It is easy to clean and has a nice sturdy feel and look to it. It is easy to operate, very simple not complicated which I wanted. I could not afford the Blendtec or Vitamix so this so far is a nice compromise. I just bought it for smoothies and so far it is ok for that. I use it about once or twice daily so far. There were only three types of blenders made in the US: Blendtec, Vitamix, and Waring. The Waring was the most affordable so that is why I chose it. The box says made in USA. I only try to buy USA products anymore.

Perfect for the serious home smoothie aficionado!
Love it!! An upgrade from what I had. I use it regularly throughout the day and it works fantastic! I love the simplicity of the controls.

This is not a commercial quality blender. I do not recommend at all.
I bought this blender last May, 2020. I waited to test it out before reviewing it. My previous blender was a bullet (which was amazing and lasted for years, blending frozen fruit shakes and smoothies. When I purchased this commercial waring blender I thought I would get superior quality blending for years to come. The first day I used it, I started to add a frozen banana to my coconut milk. Sparks came from under the unit and a funky burning smell occurred and a weird black residue was left under the unit. I had to unplug and take it outside because the smell was not breathable. I thought ok, maybe it can't handle a frozen banana. But, it's a waring commercial blender made for this type of blending. I mean if a little bullet can handle a frozen banana I would think this would too. But instead of returning it, I stuck with it to give it a chance. Again, thinking maybe the banana was too much for it. So moving forward I still used frozen fruit, but I made sure it was chopped into bite size pieces to not overwhelm the blender. Nope, I found myself babying the blender and still the burning smell was there and the black residue was on my countertop. Oh and more flying sparks. Well after carefully using the unit it finally gave up and broke. The piece where the blender jar sits on (coupler) broke away from the motor shaft. I could order a new coupler and go threw the headache of fixing it. But as I stated before, this unit was not performing properly from day one. My mistake was not returning it right away. It obviously cannot blend at a commercial rate. Should not be called waring commercial. It's too basic and not high quality blending. So would I recommend this unit...NOPE! Not at all. I'm ordering a vitamix blender.

Design and Performance ✅
Super happy with this purchase. I like its design and quality, not too many parts to deal with, is comparatively less noisy and high performing appliance.

Good for not all the time use
This blender worked super good but it starts to messed up after a few weeks of working.

Decent, but not commercial grade
I use this to make smoothies and frozen drinks.ProsGets the job done.Simple toggle switches (yay!)Sturdy plastic container.Easy to cleanConsRequires a LOT of manual intervention to complete the mix. (I mean a LOT!)Air pocket forms quickly around blade assembly requiring scraping and adjustments to get a good grip on mix materials.Frequent burning smellsOverheats frequently (thankfully found this is a protected mode - so far has resumed once cooled)Container lid comes loose easily while mixing due to vibrationBlade assembly doesn’t appear to detach from containerPlastic helical drive systems always seem a bit suspectOverall what you would expect from a <$200 blender. Not the best, not the worst. Some blending tips with this modelIf you pack this unit with ice and frozen fruit + liquid it will never complete. It will also likely overheat without intervention.Start with a partially full container (1/4 - 1/3 full) and add ingredients as you make progress.Add additional liquid / mixer to start if that’s an option.Add more ice as you make it through the first stage.I have found that using the pulse (hi power) toggle in busts tends to yield good results once good grip is established with materials. The biggest drawbacks are the amount of manual intervention that is required to clear stalled or blocked mixes. It can be quite time consuming to mix a full pitcher of frozen smoothies - upwards of 5-10 mins with a lot of interaction required. This is not a ‘one and done’ hit the switch and get your result blender.I can’t imagine this model (BB300) would ever work for commercial applications, even low volume.Waring is known for their top end commercial blender products. Would love to try their high end blenders to see if they are as good as they used to be. Waring top end blenders can run at $1000-1500 or more. I’d need some better product reviews of those models to consider over similar Blendtec or Vitamix mixers.Waring is owned by Conair.RMA process was to return to local point of sale first Amazon purchases contact Conair directly. They offered easy replacement via shipping exchange.Unfortunately, the new unit isn’t going to overcome its design limitations so I suspect that the same problems would persist.

USA POWER
I'm pretty impressed so far, appears to be a work horse and the pitcher stays cold. Over loaded it with ice one time and it struggled like every pitcher I have ever owned. But I am able to push the limits on this bad boy....like the simplicity of the switch...I just go low for a bit then shift get up to high for a nice blend. Good job USA.Another bonus is the pitcher not being plastic. I'm sick and tired of plastic everything. If you're on the fence like I was, go for it, it's nothing fancy, but makes up for it in simplicity and power. Decent warranty if anything goes wrong too.
