The Autism & Prosperity Kids Emotions & Social Life Skills book set has been a valuable resource for my ADHD daughter, especially in helping her express her emotions more clearly to her parents. The books offer practical guidance, providing her with clear options on what to do and what not to do when experiencing various emotions. This approach has made a significant difference, as it’s often difficult for children to articulate their feelings.As a parent, I’ve found the set extremely helpful, as it gives both my daughter and me better tools to navigate emotional situations when words are hard to find. Resources for HF kids can be tough sometimes and I was heavily relying on discussing verbally with my 5 year old however this is an AMAZING visual aid that SHE can read herself. She loved that a package came “just for her” that helped her better understand those big feelings that she couldn’t put into words. Packaging is gorgeous!!! I really love my Mama Bear sticker and I will definitely be purchasing again from this seller!! The media could not be loaded. While the visual emotions guide is really great, the social skills workbook I found to be problematic. It uses language like "don't be selfish" or "don't be shy" which is not ideal for developing children whose brains work differently. If they could be atypical, they would, but if your child has autism you know they see and experience the world differently- we should not shame them for that. I will not be using the social skills workbook because of the choice of language and the suggestions on what not to do. It's a shame it has beautiful bright pictures, it's just really unhelpful. Full of tips that are super obvious and not practical like "what should you do when you get up? Look nice and neat, don't stay messy or untidy"...that's very vague for someone autistic, there should be specific steps to accomplishing a task if you really want to build a social skills workbook. Overall, not impressed, I think it has more issues than it does viable solutions. Emotions visual workbook is awesome though- highly recommend! Very useful and helpful although some suggestions are still problematic on that book too, such as "when I feel ungrateful I can smile and be nice"... what?? Lmao

I used this in a therapy sessions to help clients identify their own emotions, recognize them on others, and strategize helpful ways to manage emotions.
