Dorman 923-255 Center High Mount Stop Light Compatible with Select Volkswagen Models

Was an exact fit and replacement to the OEM light. Even included new screws for installation. Another good Dorman product!

Easy to install if you can turn a screw driver. Watched u-tube video on how to take old one out and install new one. Did the job in under 15 minutes with only one screwdriver. New light lite up and continues to work well.

I saw lots of reviews on both sides of the fence on this part, so I want to share mine. Mine went into a 2006 New Beetle. The hardest part was getting the old one out. It was dry rotted and ended up coming out in pieces. This replacement lamp went in perfectly, fit great, sealed nicely, screw holes aligned perfectly, and it works perfectly. For me, it was a great replacement. Sorry several others felt differently. Great product here!

This product was a good match. I was replacing the original light that had cracked and was leaking.It was a bit of a tight fit and I feared I would break it a few times, but I eventually got it seated, plugged in and screws installed. No more leaks and it works great.

It's a quick, straight forward replacement part. It snaps in where and how it's supposed to, and does what it is intended to do.

After viewing several videos of how to remove and install this top brake light, I was able to quickly replace the non-working light in a 2010 VW Jetta. Perfect fit, not a difficult repair. It took less than 10 minutes (because I was being very careful - not MY car). If you need one, get this one. Save yourself the pain of going to a dealer and paying $$$ for it. You can do it! Fits like oem part

Highly recommend this product. After watching a couple of youtube videos of the install. I replaced the OEM brake light with this one, on my daughter’s 2003 Beetle in about 30 mins. This was a tricky install, not because of this product, but due to German Engineering. Watch the youtube videos first and have some patience.

My automotive service technician suggested that I order the third brake light through Amazon to save money, since that is what he would have done. He installed it at no cost and it works.

Fits perfect and very bright

Worked great as a replacement on my 2006 VW Jetta. I found a good tutorial on YouTube for instructions. Not difficult to remove the old one and install this if you're reasonably comfortable doing minor repair work in general.As another reviewer mentioned, the clips that slide onto the track to attach this to the vehicle come by default in a different position than the stock unit. I used my fingers to squeeze them and move them into position, see my attached photo - when they're in this position, it slides and clips into place very easily. The unit I received had the metal clips on the outside of the plastic rather than the inside. Perhaps it can still be installed that way but it felt too tight to me. Also, as another reviewer mentioned - be mindful of the attached rubber strip. If you're not careful when installing, you could tear it by accident.Gave it stars instead of 5 because it's made in Taiwan and the build doesn't seem to be as high quality as the original, but if it stops working I'll be sure to come back and update my review. After install it looks great, works flawlessly so far.
