Since finding this spray a couple years ago…quite by accident, I’ll always keep it stocked, and have a few extra to give away to those who need immediate relief. None habit forming, doesn’t swell membranes, and gives almost immediate relief. Pair this with a Neti Pot and you’ll thank me later. Used this as a stocking stuffer last year. Great Christmas in July gift for seasonal allergies…Why did you pick this product vs others?:Effectiveness!!!

I have been desperately ill with sinus issues for over 4 months with little relief from any source. I have had multiple tests (MRI, CTSCAN, Angio-gram, EKG, Labs, X-rays) with no indication of why I am so dizzy. I went to an Ear/Nose/Throat Specialist, who put tubes in my ears. Still no relief. I saw a Neurologist, who prescribed several medications. No relief.My desperation led me to an internet forum where I read someone recommending XLEAR MAX nasal spray, so I ordered a bottle. Upon opening the package (at night) I immediately tried one spray in each nostril, praying for relief from the sinus pressure. I was ready for any amount of pain, and didn't care, as long as I get some relief from the sinus pressure.The pain from the spray is nothing to really mention. It's nothing compared to chronic sinus pressure. This spray has really helped to get my sinuses to open up and begin the long process of clearing out. I am using one spray in each nostril up to three times daily, until my sinuses clear. While the package instructions say 1-3 sprays into each nostril once daily, not intended for daily use, I have spread the sprays out throughout the day for the best results.I am not symptom free but I am feeling better than I have in months. XLEAR Max sinus spray really does go to work to relieve my sinuses of inflammation and pressure. I feel this spray gets higher into my sinuses than other sprays I have tried, and I have tried several.I do have some rebound pressure after using this spray, like with any nasal sprays, but the overall relief is wonderful. This nasal spray is almost miraculous. I will definitely buy this again and look for the companies other products.

Just a note to all the reviews you will read here. Some people will say it is too strong and burns, some will say the opposite. This is the same for spicy food. Best example I can give is, if I go to a Thai restaurant and they say who spicy 1 to 5. I usually order a 2, maybe 3. I find this spray to be about 1 or 2. So for me, it isn't that hot. In fact, I would like it if they made this with double the strength.My only gripe is it looks like they use some kind of red dye in the product, which is 100% not necessary and no one wants coloring in their body, but so many companies use it. It won't stain your clothes or anything, just not needed and better for your health without it.As for performance, this works but not like Afrin. However Afrin can only be used for a maximum of three days, this can be used indefinitely. When you use it the effects kick in about a minute or two later. The mucus will drain due to the spicy nature of the product. Good for some temporary relief.

I have used this product for less than a week and see definite improvement in my breathing. The "burn" is minimal. I'm hoping the xylitol will do as described and coat my sinuses for a bit longer than just the saline spray I've been using. So far,no complaints nor significant benefits. Having said this, I ordered Nasal Plumber today and will test the two to see which, if either is a great option.On this product, definitely shake bottle well before each use. It does make a difference.Footnote: I'm a vocalist and narrator so I have to protect my "instrument" and breathe well. So I'm not using this for a cold or illness, just allergies and irritants.

Works great! Cleared out my nose better than my prescription nose sprays! The first time I used it I did feel a little burning, but not bad....just knew it was working! With the xilotol it has a sweet after flavor if it drips down the back of your throught, unlike the nasty flavor from some of the prescription allergy nose sprays.

This max version of XLEAR is clearly more effective than the usual normal strength version! There is only a momentary slight ache in my nose at first, after spraying, but it goes away in a few seconds. I spray two times each nostril and do not blow out the excess liquid before strapping on my CPAP mask and turning on the compressed air. The air pressure pushes the excess up higher into my sinuses, and after the excess spray dries out, my nose is clear as I fall asleep being able to breathe through my nose.

This may be good if you are particularly sensitive to capsaicin/chilis, but I found it to be no better than a saline spray. To get an immediate relieve I've turned to Sinus Plumber. Its about as delicate as it sounds, but beats sinus pressure.

Works well. I had some more potent capsaicin spray years ago but it burned my sinuses for a while after use. This if much milder.
