This thing is junk! I put batteries in it 3 times thinking SURELY ITS BAD BATTERIES BUT IT WASN'T THAT! This was worthless right out of the package working only when it wants to then 15 minutes later never worked again! It's cheaply made & sounded like a old record with a scratched needle! I trashed it because its more trouble to send it back then what its worth! I'm VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED & TOLD 6 OF MY FRIENDS WHO WERE ALSO WANTING ONE TO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT & NOW I'M LETTING ALL OF YOU KNOW TOO! I wish I could put minus 20 stars!

Works but if you put it on daytime which is light and sound the strobe and dog bark it goes through batteries 4 AA pretty quick. Less than a week it seems

The night setting does not work. And the sound it makes is a barking dog. When I read Sonic in the title, I thought maybe there was a sound that birds could here to make them go away....um, no.

My device stopped working correctly mid July right after it was unreturnable. It was outside but protected from the rain because it was placed in an open sided container. However, one day it began to bark without stopping and nothing has helped. The days were hot and in the 90's, I don't know if that had anything to do with it because it was in the full sun since that's the area where the squirrels arrive. Tried new batteries, cleaning and a long rest, but I haven't gotten it to work again. Too short lived for the money.

I just opened this a week ago since the raccons are back and I need all the help I can get. The light strobe does not work just the sound of a dog barking in five second bursts when it detects motion either during day or at night (when I set up my "systems"). I wish it worked, and the sound is not as loud as I expected.

I've used this for a month and it is still going strong. I've tried everything to divert woodpeckers from my house (including a Nerf gun - see other review) for years, with little success. Batteries are still going strong. I have it set on 'day mode', which means its active 24 hrs a day. Sometimes birds come in low and the sensor does not catch them, but I hear the 'dog barking sound' often enough that the diversion is active. Its not super loud so not an annoyance for my neighbor (neither of us have pets).I mounted devise with 2-way tape on top ridge of my roof, where I there is a 30 ft circular section of house. Its been rained on and even light snow, still works. I have a nearby tree and I the wind creates some false alarms, but that might be additional deterrent. Woodpeckers are very smart, so stand alone decoys usually only last a few days. The barking seems to be the answer. I'll keep you posted if things change.

Cheap manufactured unit. terrible sound quality, same repetitive track. defective product, light stopped working within 30 seconds and wouldn't switch back to off mode.

It works :-) before this we had to run outside everytime to shoo the ducks away. It was crazy! Poop around the pool -IN the pool- yikes. Since we bought a couple of these, we haven’t seen any ducks OR their poop. UH-mazing! Whenever we get annoyed with the barking, just turn it the other way, facing the wall. Totally worth it.
