Works great, pumps everything I need it to
Even though it doesn’t fit my jug cap it still is usable and does exactly what I need it to do and it does it really good so it’s a great hand pump and works exactly as I needed it to do

Works great but the extension tube should be longer
I like this transfer pump better than the last I had and I don't remember the brand, but it broke apart. This one was sturdy enough for a consumer product...the only drawback was that the extension tube was about 1/2 inch too short... it wouldn't touch the bottom of the bottle... either the gallon or quartz bottles I tried. This meant you would have some oil left in the bottle...this is why I had to remove 1 star. The pump itself will fit into quartz bottles that have been designed for larger openings. The pentosin MTF2 bottle I bought had the gallon size opening for a quartz bottle.Someone mentioned in another review that the corn oil gallon container will accept this pump. I had also prepped my corn oil gallon for this task, but I didn't need it since the quartz size MTF2 tranny fluid fit this pump. It transfer quickly into the transmission without any spilling. One last thing to note is when the bottle is empty...it won't pump out the last amount of oil that's in the hose, so you will have to drain out the oil in the hose.It was worth the cost of the pump and I would recommend it...it's not perfect, but does a very good job.

Wish I would of found this earlier!
Its not innovating or ground breaking and its just a tube zip tied to a pump for like hand soap or something, Yet it works so well! Something so stupid and simple saved me alot of time and hassle. I used it to put fluid and oil in my 98 wrangler 5 speed transmission and transfer case. I wish I would of gotten it before I did the gear oil for the rear end. Just get it if your thinking about it you wont be dissappointed. I tried one of them screw on caps with a tube but there just wasnt enough space to get the bottole up high enough for it to work thats why i got this.

Works well but price has increased
I bought this as well as the 1 gallon version to work on a relative's car. I have a couple of other ways of filling differentials and transfer cases with fluid (electric transfer pump, suction gun), but their car has a "non-serviceable" (yeah, right) transfer case with a fill plug but no drain. It's in a difficult location to reach and I wanted something very compact to reduce the amount of swearing I would do while filling it. (In case you're wondering, I used the electric transfer pump to drain it first).I've used pumps like this in the past and this one works well. It pumps a small amount of fluid with each stroke and, while it takes a while, the effort is minimal even when pumping something viscous like gear oil. Screw it into a bottle, stick the hose in whatever you want to fill, and pump. The hardest part is keeping the hose from flopping out of position as you pump, which can cause you to dribble gear oil everywhere but where you want it. Some other pumps have a plastic spring clip that keeps the end of the hose in place, but this one doesn't. Not a big deal but something to keep in mind. I sometimes use a spring clamp to clip the hose where I want it, which is an extra step but makes life easier.I knocked off a star because the price has increased quite a bit (from about $9 when I bought it to just over $13). For the new price, you can get a nicer pump with a retaining clip for the hose. This one works fine but is no longer a very good value. This pump works well, and if you buy it you probably won't regret it, but comparison shop first. There are pumps available for $8-$9 that may be a better value.

Worked great with a longer hose
I replaced the short hose it comes with using a longer piece of 3/8" ID vinyl tubing cut to a suitable length secured with a hose clamp This pump worked great pumping 90w gear oil from a gallon jug into the transmission. Pumped the entire gallon without spilling even 1 drop. Very pleased!
