Excellent at this kind of price
Solid and sturdy. Just have to join 2 pieces around the base of the tower that slot together as its stand.Dials, no digital programming needed.Dial timer, so can set it before bed and will auto turn off whilst you're asleep. The timer is not digital, but makes no clicking noise as it winds down.Noise dependant on if you set from level 1 up to level 3. Having it run whilst you sleep you'll likely want it on level one or it might be too distracting.Cool air levels:1 - gentle but consistent breeze, very comfortable. Can help cool a small room reliably.2 - probably more suited to small office, as itll get a bit noisier, but a great cooling effect and strong breeze.Reasonably loud, considering its size, but also considering its size it is pretty powerful. Like a fairly strong wind, but not over the top. Oscillation works fine, turns about 90 degrees rather than 180.That said, for the price, a very good high quality item, especially compared to all the Chinese trash that gets spammed on Amazon these days. If you see super cheap fan systems, make sure to check the item seller's name and store address. Theyll likely be from China and your item will be worthless rubbish that wont work.If you want cheap, go for this kind of thing instead.Stands about as high as a generic kitchen table or thereabouts.

Great fan, surprisingly powerful, and the matter of the ticking/clicking.
The fan itself is really good for what it's worth. Once you recieve it, it'll just be in a cardboard box, so don't expect a box with the picture on it. The base comes detached, so you'll have to unscrew the plastic-like bolt at the bottom and align the base together so you can re-screw the bolt back on. The right dial with the, LOW, MEDIUM, HIGH, options are on both sides for ease of access I believe, and all options are great. From relatively powerful wind power to a sweat relief blast of air, it's really amazing. The OSC functions greatly too, it does a 90 degree turn from the looks of it which may be a problem for others, but it's fine with me. Now regarding what everyone's talking about, the clicking sound. From what I can see, you can not turn the fan on if you don't have the left dial pointing at 'ON'. However, considering the left dial is the timer, you WILL turn the timer on by doing so. Without setting the left dial to ON, the fan will not turn on. (If you want to turn your fan off, just turn the dial to the OFF option on either dial, but if you just turn it off from the right dial, you'll be met with just the clicking sound). However, I don't know if this is for everyone, but the clicking sound is REALLY quiet if you have the fan even on LOW. Of course, if you turn the right dial to off, you'll only hear the clicking sound, but if you just have the fan on on any setting, you most probably won't even hear it (of course if you put your ear right up to the top of the fan you'll hear the clicking). But this does have a happy ending. If you turn the left dial and set it to the top, 'ON' option, and give your fan maybe 5 hours(?) running, the clicking will stop (It stopped for me at least). Overall, if you want a fan for sleeping, taking care of your sweat or just want to replace yout current one, this one is a steal for what it's worth.

Good value, overall happy. Minor issues after few months
I was considering getting a tower fan for about 60-70 quid but then I saw this one for around £30. Was a little nervous if it would do the job but it's great. This clicking noise other reviews mention you can't hear when the fan is going, never had an issue with it and the fan is very quiet. I sleep fine with it on and it's powerful. For half the price of the other tower fans I'm very happy with it so far.The only small criticism I would have is there is no remote like the more expensive ones but I don't feel its worth paying double the price for a remote, the sleep timer could also be longer its about 3 hours but I get round this by having a timer on the plug socket so it stays on longer but does eventually turn off when I want it too.Update: After a few months I did notice the fan sometimes makes a squeaking sound as it oscillates, this can usually be fixed by messing about with it (tightening or loosening the bottom bit) but is a little annoying, still overall feel worth the purchase.

Fan
Great value. Works really well. I have it on every night, it's not terribly noisy in my opinion and keeps the room cool. Easy to use. Doesn't come with remote control , description at the time said it did.

Keeping things cool
To be fair I've only just unboxed it and tried it out. My main room gets very warm in the summer and i've been looking for a fan or tower fan to do the business, especially when there's little air movement outside. Enter this tower fan. I have to say i'm impressed so far. A bit noisy on high setting, but low and medium are fine. Like the timer option, up to 3hrs and it will turn itself off. There's also an oscillation setting, meaning the fan sends the airflow left and right, without having a big swinging fan doing the job for you. Easy to setup, doesn't take up much room, and for me at least, hugely effective.

Great product for the price
Brilliant for the price! Really good, strong airflow, cools down a room easily. Also pretty quiet when blowing air. Started off a bit squeaky when spinning but after having it on for an hour or so it definitely has become far less squeaky. The option to use the timer is also a nice touch (but you can also just have it running without the timer).Definitely worth the money, would recommend this product!
