Also excellent for gray hair
With sensitive older scalp, I've had to avoid shampoos with fragrance and exotic ingredients. This shampoo is wonderful. It's non-irritating and lends a sparkle and whiteness to my old gray hair. I bought four more bottles.

Recommended by my dermatologist
This was recommended by my dermatologist, and has worked amazingly well for my scalp. Added bonus, my hair is less frizzy too.

Almost perfect
Pros:This shampoo has no fragrance; it has a really rich lather; makes my hair feel thicker; doesn't cause itchy, red bumps and dryness; no more hair loss.Cons:Scalp seems more oily; go through the bottle quickly; scalp still itches (though significantly less); still have a little dandruff. Conclusion:I really like this shampoo and how it makes my hair and scalp feel, overall. Before I started using it, my scalp had red bumps and would itch, uncontrollably, to the point it would bleed. I would also be able to pick thick pieces of build-up/skin off of my scalp, had really bad dandruff, and my hair was falling out and thinning.*The first few times that I washed my hair with it, I didn't think much of it except that it didn't make my condition worse. I didn't really start to notice a difference for about 2 weeks of almost daily washing.I will continue using it until I find something that works a little better for me, as it is the best shampoo I've found so far.*I have hypothyroidism, lupus, and Sjogrens, so they, along with my medications, can effect my skin in different ways. They have recently been adjusted, so some of the results/continuing issues may not be a result of the shampoo.

Wow. Amazing for skin. Not awful for hair if done right
See Hair Saving Awesome Tip Below!!!!Although its calmed down, I was dx w mast cell activation syndrome after getting chemical burn etc w a popular bonding productSo, not much can be used that can go to scalp or trigger an allergic reaction. After frying my hair w other frag free shampoos for a long time, I had recently found Cleure, and it was working fine. But is not the 100% ole reliable.Sometimes a little itch was still there and It felt like there was a wee micro film on scalp that irritated sometimes. (And sometimes not. It was not thick and barely noticeable - not downing the Cleure, but I prefer this)This leaves zero aggravating film on scalp, it does not kill my hair nor smell like plastic.I can go 3+ days. There is Nothing wrong w i which is Amazing! Love it. Looking forward to trying others from this brand***. Here is how to Save your Hair w non moisturizing shampoos! ***Wet Hair and Either:Put amount you want to use in spouted bottle like a ketchup/mustard dispenser (some here in Amazon), then add desired amt of filtered water - mix by lightly swirling, then apply to scalp only and when rinsing the diluted mixture goes to ends.Or My Personal fave:Wet hair. Put a fragrance - silicone free conditioner mids to ends - leave it. (Right now I have Ess fragrance free cond or use what you can tolerate in skin)Then apply small amounts of shampoo to parted sections of scalp. You do not need to apply shampoo to every inch of scalp. I have about 11 areas that I part and apply as if applying a thin amount of lotion. When fine, wet fingertips/palms and spread the shampoo out and around from the sectioned areas of scalp - add water as needed so it covers scalpThen finish cleaning your hair by adding a large splash of water to scalp. The shampoo will now move down to the areas conditioner was previously applied. Then lightly manipulate mids to ends. This is essentially a cowashing or using a cleansing conditioner technique by avoiding getting conditioner on scalp. Then rinse trying to avoid conditioner getting on scalp.Wa-La! Hair saved.

Absolutely fragrance-free...I love that!
No complaints. My gray hair is less frizzy after using this shampoo. I have several allergies and this product doesn't set off any of them.Update: After using this shampoo for a while, what I said about my gray hair being less frizzy has now changed to not being frizzy at all. I tried a lot of anti-frizz products but none of them worked, but this one does even though that's not listed as one of the benefits of the product. One other thing: I have arthritis in my hands. The 8 oz. version of this shampoo comes in a bottle that, for me, is difficult to squeeze. It's painful. The larger bottle is much easier to squeeze. It's the size I will buy from now on.And yet another thing, added after I've used this shampoo for quite a while: I have been getting compliments on my hair -- something that never happened for decades before buying it. Today I had lunch with my daughter and she commented on how shiny and healthy my hair looks. When we parted ways after lunch, her last comment to me was "Your hair looks really good." I can't remember her ever saying anything about my hair before in her entire life. Even strangers have been complimenting my hair, plus the cashier at the store where I shop regularly.

Just shampoo, no scents or perfume
Great shampoo that easily cleans my hair without the annoyance of scents. Other scented shampoos cause irritation on my face.

Been using for over a decade. Leaves hair and scalp feeling very clean with no residue
I have very sensitive skin and hair products give me back acne. I’ve been using this product for years and I’m happy with it. I’ve tried a *lot* of free and clear shampoos and this is the best for me.Compared to other free and clear shampoos, my hair and scalp feel very clean after using it, and most importantly, there’s no feeling of residue. It doesn’t seem to strip my hair, and it doesn’t irritate my scalp psoriasis. It also doesn’t seem to cause much back acne (it’s a little hard to tell because I do still use a different brand of conditioner, which definitely causes some issues for me).It has a faint chemical smell, like plain glycerin, since it’s unscented, but it doesn’t linger on your hair at all, and it’s easy to add a few drops of essential oil if you want to mask it.All in all very satisfied!
