Framing Floors, Walls & Ceilings (For Pros by Pros)

The information in this book is quite good. The illustrations are well done and the concepts are explained competently. If it were an e-book that would be all I care about. My gripe is with the actual quality of the physical book itself. I have looked at it a half a dozen times and the spine is already coming unglued and pages are starting to fall out. Any book should last much longer than this, but a book on construction which is going to be subjected to potentially more abuse should be bound accordingly. Within 6 months this book will be a bunch of discreet pages in a manila envelope.So, while the writing is good and the content is good the packaging is poor and I cannot recommend.

Breaks in down to easy understandable language and picture to hilite what is being talked about.

Great purchase and awesome tool to have a visualization of the connections in wood framing, coming from experienced framers. 5 stars!

Its okay. As a beginner to framing this may have been a little over my head. Pictures and illustrations were not as clear as I had hoped.

Was sent to a friend for a gift when it arrived it was wet and the pages stuck together unable to read a lot of pages because of the water damage

Very informative. A lot of good, basic information!

The book looks "like new" on the outside but inside there is a hold section where the pages are not bold together in the book as normal.

Really interesting read - gives a good outline the techniques on timber framing.

Great book for beginners looking to save some $$$ doing some renovations themselves. Great write ups and pics make it easy to understand. Second book purchased from this author and will def buy more

Will not teach you framing from scratch. Its a collection of articles that are more "good ideas" rather than showing you how to frame from beginning to end. Better off with Scott Simpsons book.
