Friends forever
I have a group of people that have been my friends since high school and we get together as often as we can. I love these stories of friends and their special bonds. Usually the group is just females. It is so refreshing to read a book that also includes males as friends.

Enjoyable
This book read fairly quickly for me....the last 1/3 of it was the best part. I was disappointed in her previous book, Swapping Lives, after LOVING her older works, especially Babyville. I was surprised that it was so similar to the Big Chill in the beginning, felt like a cop-oit for a plot. I enjoyed the book and I was happy to see Green write a book better than Swapping Lives, but I am sad that she has not gotten back up to the caliber of To Have and To Hold and Babyville.

Definitely Different
From the beginning it's obvious that "Second Chances" is a far cry from the chick lit we all know and love. That being said, I still enjoyed this book. True, it wasn't what I was expecting. It is full of serious topics such as death, alcoholism and infertility. But it's still a well written book. Jane Green is a talented author and this crossing on genres worked well for her. I'm praying that the next book is bubbly and chick lit-y though. I'd recommend this.

Another winner for Ms Green
Good story, good characters and a plot I could relate to. Only problem was the ending felt rushed - like hurry up and tie it all together to meet deadline. Too many books are ending that way recently.

I liked it very much
I liked it very much. It lacked a little bit of depth, especially when it came to Marcus. We never understood who hereally was. I would rather have liked to pick his brain. Other than that, I liked it. I think it was a true evaluation of alot of relationships, especially today.

Second Chance
Being the first time I had ever ordered off of Amazon, I was wondering how the experience would be. I am happy to say the experience was nice. The condition of the book was described as good being slighty used, when I received the book it was so pleasing to see the condition was very good and hardly looked used at all. I will definatley use this sight again.

Sweet and sad
.it's about a group of friends who go on to continue their lives after losing one of their own in a dramatic way.

mixed feelings
I liked the story line and thought the plot was nicely done. However, the constant shifts in point of view as well as tense took me out of the story.

Absolute must read!
Just as I was leaving for work this morning, the postman delivered my book. I took it to work to start to read in my lunch hour, and ended up on page 67! Easy to read, exciting, humorous, with Catherine being very relatable. We all have a friend like Catherine! This book also fits in your handbag/bag/school bag, and comes highly recommended. Once you pick it up, you will get lost in the story and won’t be able to put it down!

Not her best, but still a good read
While this is not Jane Green's best book (Life Swap, Babyville and Spellbound were brilliant), it is still a very good read and I feel it deserves a bit more than some of the very bad ratings it has received here. Yes, it is more serious than some of her previous books, which makes it a bit different. But I thought the serious tone was handled well by the author. To use a fictitious terrorist attack as subplot might be not everybody's cup of tea, but I thought it was handled with great sensitivity and the process of shock and grieving for the people involved described well.It is always interesting to see how a book is viewed differently by different people. I note that some previous reviewer found the actress strand in the book interesting, but the housewife one "yawnsville" if I remember correctly. Well, to be honest, for me it was exactly the other way round. While Saffron's story is not bad, it is too far removed from normal life to me, whereas Holly's story was far more gripping. Again it goes to show that books will mean different things to different people. If you like Jane Green, I'd still give this one a go. I certainly enjoyed it.

Second Chance A fabulous debut novel
This debut novel is well written, funny and engaging. The characters are memorable and I think we can all relate to Catherine as her delightful character unfolds throughout the book. It’s an easy to read entertaining page turner.

Bells and whistles
This book has it all. Loved the myriad of different characters and their stories. I loved the link that held them together, made me laugh and cry in equal measures. Lovely. 🎬👏
