Not 100% sure why, but I developed some awful sores on the back of my thighs and groin area. It's taking me forever to get approval from my insurance and then scheduled the appointment to be seen about these. Meanwhile these hurt a lot!!! (I have a very high tolerance for pain and live with pain daily from my lower back and all the surgery's I've had to help with my degenerative disc problems.)Over the course of more than a month living with these open sores is H%LL! I've bought so many products trying to find relief on my own since I can't seem to get medical help. After hundreds of dollars invested in creams, jels, bandages, etc. I was still in pain.Then I happened to see an advert for Bactine. I remember my mother using it on my skinned knees as a child (I was a Tom Boy) and how it always gave me relief. I remember mother squirting it on and then blowing on it till it dried, So I thought, what the heck, I've tried nearly everything else. So I ordered 4 bottles of it in a set. OMG This worked so well! It doesn't last as long as I would prefer and I have to reapply it 3-4 times a day but I don't care, as long as it works! Finally I can sit, walk, and get into bed without wanting to scream out in pain. Before the Bactine, just the slightest touch against the sores was really more than I could tolerate!I am giving this 5 stars and I'd gladly give it more if I could! Some times the older remedies are the best! I didn't even realize they still sold this! So many of the great products of my youth have gone away. Thank you WelSpring! I recently had surgical debridement for a perineal abscess with severe cellulitis. To say I have constant excruciating pain is an understatement. Sneezing, coughing, bending, sitting, or doing virtually anything affects the area.Home health comes daily for wet to dry dressing changes & I may have to do them PRN (as needed) before their next visit. While in the hospital, I endured a few without a topical anesthetic, but quickly realized there was no way I could tolerate this for 2 months. Aside from dressing changes, an open wound is unbearingly painful. Having to sit on one is even worse. You get the picture!I read a kazillion reviews & although I wanted a stronger percentage of Lidocaine, I chose to try this one.It has lido & an antiseptic, so score!The first time I used it, I felt a tingle, but not a severe burning sensation. It is only momentary & the area is anesthetized within minutes. This has been a Godsend, miracle spray.The only thing I adapted for it was to pour the contents into a continuous spray bottle because the sprayer on the bottle doesn't work very well. The continuous sprayer is amazing.I have probably ordered this 4 times & have some in my cart now.There is absolutely zero chance of me tolerating my open incision, dressing/packing changes, or virtually anything at all without this product.Even after I'm healed, I will always keep some of this on hand in my first aid kit.If you need a product that provides a topical anesthetic, this product is perfect & I highly recommend it.

My mother used to use this on us kids and I was amused to see it’s still around. Perhaps, it’s because it works! It is still great for scrapes and minor injuries. It has the smell of Noxzema. If you know what that is, you know I’m talking about the 70s.I applied a small bit to my face since my skin has been dry from the very cold weather. It was numbing to my lips, which is part of the pain relief that works.. I would need to apply more frequent to determine if this helps my skin.For now, I will continue to use it on scrapes and abrasions that I seem to acquire working around the house. It is non-greasy and drives fast. It is in a fun squirt bottle. But that is also a nostalgic for me.
