Daniel X: Armageddon: Daniel X, Book 5

I got this for one of my best friends, and she adored it.

Daniel X is a departure from Patterson's usual novels about crime, murder & mayhem. Daniel X is an other than normal super teen-age alien, placed on earth to protect the planet. Don't know if I would have bought it if I'd known the subject area, but since I did, I can recommend it as a very pleasant read. It's also similar to what other authors are also doing - departing their normal realms to show their versatality - i.e. Grisham, Baldacci, etc.

My 11 year old son and I read these novels togther. Without giving away any plot spoilers, let's just say Daniel goes up against his most challenging foe yet and along the way confronts similarly formitable emotional challenges as well. The plot, as religiously charged as it is at times, was handled with care and the story well told. One of the best yet. Don't know how this one's going to be topped....? we can't wait for the next installment!

My son loves these books. As a parent, I would say it's a little edgy in terms violence. However, my 12 year old is also exposed to morals, divinity and new vocabulary. I read the book too, weighed the good and bad and found the book appropriate.

My students love this series! I know they love reading about adventure and the heroes in them. This book series definitely gave them that. I have had to order all six books and I will say the front covers are wearing down with all of them wanting to check them out one after another!!! Recommended for high readers in 4th and up

This is the most exciting one yet! I can't get over the fact that Abbadon is the devil. Great book,very easy read, liked the plot and climax. I do wish it was a little longer, had a little more into maybe Daniels love life or something.

I bought 40 books to complete my collection by S. Cannell, M. Connelly, J. Patterson, & J. Wambaugh. I haven't read all of them yet, but these guys have never disappointed, and I don't think that they ever will.That's why I read them.

Have read all of the Daniel X Series and have enjoyed them all. Each of the books in the series are a terrific read and well worth the pennies spent. Perhaps I am bias but I enjoy James Patterson novels anyway. He is a great writer, as is Terry Pratchett. Hopefully there will be another Daniel X in which he will defeat No1 The Prayer.'m

Although this series is aimed at the teenage market it is a well thought out and constructed work of fiction. The storylines are consistent throughout the books I have read, You can read them as stand alone books, or enjoy the whole series.

My favourite author and always top story I know its for children but being an adult I love it as well. But then I love all James Pattersons novels and never a bad one.

Great reading, this was a real page turner, i recommend it for any avid readers of suspense/thrill novels guarantee you will want more!

The action never stopped and each chapter brought something new. Following on, as you might expect from the previous books it was a value good read.
