Paul Mitchell Extra-Body Sculpting Foam, Thickens + Builds Body, For Fine Hair

This is a very good mousse. The best part about this is that it comes completely shrink-wrapped so that the nozzle and the cap are in intact and not broken when you receive it. The price is good, and it works very well to add body to my fine limp hair. I would recommend this product for sure!

My hair is thin, fine and very soft. It is also very straight and does not keep its shape after styling. This foam gives my hair body and makes it look thicker. I use it before setting my hair with hot curlers. This product along with hairspray keeps the curls in my hair. Hairspray alone doesn't work and this Paul Mitchell sculpting foam works far better than others I have tried. I recommended it. F.Y.I. it is not a firm foam and sometimes comes out very watery. I like it anyway, because it works.

Super baby fine, thinner hairJust at top of shoulders lengthIt comes out a little 'watery' or loose and then immediately foams. But if you shake the can thoroughly, then use the pump, it comes out more foam-like than watery.If there's a scent, it isn't much as I don't really detect anything.This gives my hair some fullness without being sticky or tacky. My hair is still soft after using. Though I do with there was a little more 'tacky' just to give my hair a little more fullness -- if I use too much, it will dull my hair.I purchased the travel size but I'd consider the full size.

I have fine, thinning hair.This packs a lot of volume is a small dollop but keeps my hair soft. and looking natural and thicker. I can go all day without restyling and look great.I dry with a round brush for volume and tease it a bit at the top for a fuller look. They I give it a good shot of hairspray and can make it through the workday without retouching.The scent is not pleasant but not at all overpowering.The sprayer is effective.

Love this product! Gives my hair the volume it needs yet it is not heavy and doesn’t leave a “coating” on my hair!

Once you can get the product out of the can, it works great on my hair. I had a major issue with getting the cover off and how delicate the little nozzle is. It kept getting stuck in the snap-on cover. Many times I thought the nozzle was going to break off because it was so thin, dainty and fragile.

This item is perfect. It’s a nice . I’ve used it. I have a really long straight hair and it is perfect for me.

I usually love Paul Mitchell hair products and have tried to convince myself this mousse performs well over the past months. However, it does not work for me.Pros: the nozzle is intact and working. The mousse comes out in a liquid state but actually does foam if you hold it in your hand for a moment before application- strange but true.Cons: Mousse does not really give my straight fine hair any more lift than does simply drying with a large round brush. And it doesn't hold that lift any better than blow drying. There is no increase in volume or thickness. Instead, this mousse has stripped my hair of any softness, causing it to feel crispy, stiff, and somehow thinner and unnatural. Oddly, my scalp begins to itch in an hour or so after use. Also, my hair is suddenly dry and snaps and breaks more easily when I try to brush it. Yet my scalp feels oily. I am convinced that this is not a good product for my hair health. Hate that I bought 2 cans but will not use again. I will look for a better product.Edit: 2/13/2025Broke down and used 1 can. Never happy with the sticky stuff. Opened 2nd can today and plastic nozzle slightly lifts off so that you can see the aerosol can and tiny outlet beneath it. No product comes out of plastic nozzle at all, despite vigorous shaking. Just a fine drizzle of sticky liquid oozed from actual can after holding upside down a few moments. What a huge rip-off! Seller has to know. This was 2nd shrink wrapped bottle, never opened. Horrible product.
