Read in a certain order. But great companion book to the series.
The book is great but you have to read it in a particular order with the other books in the series. Please look below for that because two of the stories should be read before the first book. The second could be read before or after depending upon the reader. The Queen (Happily Ever After Companion Book)The Prince (Happily Ever After Companion Book)The SelectionThe EliteThe Guard (Happily Ever After Companion Book)The Favorite (Happily Ever After Companion Book) Pt 1 This takes place before The OneThe OneThe Favorite (Happily Ever After Companion Book) Pt 2 This takes place during the book The One so better to read after this book is done.Scenes From Celeste (Happily Ever After Companion Book)The Maid (Happily Ever After Companion Book)After the One (the Epilogue) (Happily Ever After Companion Book)Where are they Now? (Happily Ever After Companion Book)The HeirThe CrownThis book might repeat certain scenes but its great to see it from someone else's POV.

Happily ever after with magnificent drawings!
For years now, I have read this series so many times, SO MANY TIMES in both Greek and English. There are not enough words to describe my long lasting love for the Selection series. It will always remain my most favorite YA series ever. So romantic, so heart warming and heart wrenching at the same time. The covers are always wonderfully colorful and eye-catching! This one in particular has gorgeous drawings and a beautifully designed map of the Selection world. It was a welcome change to read the point of view of many different characters and the way they interpreted the same events America had narrated in the main Selection books. We even saw a glimpse of some other couples: Clarkson and Amberly, Aspen and Lucy, Carter and Marlee.Very fluffy, very easy to read and finish. No strong violence (except during Marlee's canning), no swearing, no sex scenes. Suitable even to 12 years old readers.

More Is Always A Bonus!
Happily Ever After: Companion to the Selection Series (HarperTeen, 2015) is a compilation of previously published novellas and new bonus material, all pertaining to The Selection series by Kiera Cass.*See my full reviews of The Queen, The Prince, The Guard, and The Favorite on the Royally Reviewed blog*The bonus material was a nice touch. I loved the scenes from Celeste’s point of view; those were definitely the highlight. I feel like I could read the whole series from her perspective, as she was certainly one of the most surprising and lovable characters with her arc in the final book. We also get some scenes from Lucy’s point of view, although I still would’ve hoped for more for her and Aspen. They both deserved so much more passion than what we ever get to see. This compilation also includes a bonus epilogue to The One, a “Where Are They Now” of the surviving Elite, as well as original sketches of the main characters, and a very neat map of Illéa which would’ve been helpful if inserted in the previous books. If you haven’t read any of the novellas yet, this book is well worth the money. You get four full novellas, plus the artwork and bonus content. The bonus content is probably not worth a full-price purchase on its own, but like I said, if you’re new to the novellas and want to grab all four in one fell swoop, then this is definitely the way to do it. Overall, from cover to cover, a very enjoyable read!

buy it!!!!
This is a time that I really wish that I could give half star reviews. Personally I really feel like this book was saw great. Amazing but not quite fabulous.Reasons why it was great;I loved all the novellas. Personally I am just one of those fans who would be super happy if Keira kept the series going just for America. So because of this I really liked getting the extra scoop on all the other characters.I also believe that the after scene (for America and Maxon) was worth the ten dollars in itself. It was one of my favorite parts along with Celeste scenes. The only thing I had an issues with was the illustrations. They were great, but nothing special. So I think that this is a great buy and you should definable get it if you love the selection as much as I do!

DON'T NEED THE PRINCE AND THE GUARD WITH THIS NOVELLA
This book goes into what Queen Amber's life was like before she met the King, what Prince Maxon's life was like before he met America. It has two sections that are only available in this addition: The Queen and The Favorite. It also contains The Prince and the Guard so you don't have to purchase them separately from this book. This is a perfect companion book to go with The Selection. It fills in the blanks on what all is happening to the Prince and Aspen as America goes through the Selection. If also gives you a look at the Queen before she was Queen, and what America was like as the Prince's favorite during the Selection.I highly recommend this book over the Prince and the Guard alone.

Enchanting!
I am a H U G E fan of The Selection series. Kiera has completely entranced me with these books. I'm completely invested in every single one of her characters, and the story constantly has me on tenterhooks. America, Maxon, Marlee & Aspen have a very special place in my heart, and I will always treasure these books and the happiness they bring me.So, as you can already tell, my opinion of this collection of novellas is a rather biased one. As I mentioned before, this is an enchanting collection of novellas that serve as a complement to The Selection series. If you had read The Prince, The Guard, and The Queen, then you might be hesitant to buy this collection, but if you're a big fan like myself, it is completely worth it! As well as those three novellas, this collection contains:2 bonus chapters of Maxon's novella - The PrinceThe Favorite (Marlee's novella)3 scenes from Celeste's P.O.VLucy's scene (this is a bonus scene from The One),An epilogueA few pages entitled "Where Are They Now?" which focus on Kriss, Natalie & Elise.A MapCharming Illustrations in each of the novellas/scenes.Kiera also introduces each of the novellas, giving her perspective on the writing process, as well as her opinion on characters & the storylines. I thought it was a wonderful addition to the book, it was really lovely to learn more about Kiera and how deeply invested she is in her characters - just like me!It was wonderful to see Maxon (The Prince), Aspen (The Guard) & Marlee's (The Favorite) perspective of the events in books 1-3, although I was already emotionally attached to each of these characters, I felt like I was falling in love with them all over again while I was reading their P.O.V of things. The Queen was probably my favourite to read. Amberly is just a kind, compassionate & gentle soul, that you instantly fall in her love with her. It was wonderful to learn about her Selection process, and how she won the heart of her husband, King Clarkson.I wont comment on the rest of the scenes in this collection, as I'm afraid of giving anything away. However, I will tell you that they were fantastic! Celeste's scenes are my favourite (maybe in the whole book!), it was wonderful to understand her character more and how she felt about certain events in the books. The illustrations that accompany all of these stories are beautiful! I felt like I was a little kid reading a fairy tale book! They really complemented the stories, and I am secretly hoping that there will be illustrations in The Crown! All in all, I absolutely loved this book, and when I revisit the series I'll definitely be re-reading this collection! If you are a big fan of The Selection series, this is an absolute must-have! It'll really wet your appetite for The Crown (which is a sequel to The Heir) which is going to be in May 2016.

Short stories
I enjoyed this book. It gave more of an insight into some of the characters. The Queen helped understand Clarkson and Amberly and how their relationship began and how their relationship worked. The Prince and the guard helps you gain more understanding of Aspen and Maxon, I loved reading about how Maxon saw America right from the beginning. We also had the story about Lucy which helped show how the relationship with Aspen began. One of my favourite stories was about Marlee and helped you understand what happened to her, how it began with Carter and how Maxon helped them. My other favourite was the one which let us see America and Maxon two years into the marriage. These stories definitely helped gain more understanding of the characters, with some added stories about the girls in the elite that didn't win. Will definitely read these again when I read the series again.

Its OK
This is a group of maybe 4/5 novellas from the Selection Series. Its starts off with the Queen which is a story about Queen Amberly. I probably liked this one best as it gave an insight into what happened before Maxon. It continues with The Prince, The Guard, and the Favourite. It also includes a few scenes from Celeste too. All ok but you already know the story if you've read the series. A nice insight to it too though

I loved this book that rounded up everyone’s lives. I liked seeing the same scenes from other perspectives as well.

Review of Happily Ever After by Kiera Cass
This is a wonderful book, it fills in the gaps you have after finishing the One. All the stories were lovely and all of them except Amberly's were a different perspective of a book in the Selection series. I really loved the illustrations and I really liked the sneak peak at The Siren. These were the most beautiful and moving happy endings I have ever read. I also really liked how beautiful every story ended and you could see the difference between the arrival and the departure of Celeste; how much she changed.
